This is an ad that I found on ebay of the vacuum that I had stolen from me when I lived in Houston Tx. I bought that vacuum new,  bought my sister one, she sold her's at a yard sale in the 90's. I would give my left arm to find one of these again. This is one that I definetly would keep forever!

Eureka version...

Hey Ben, I just recently acquired the Eureka brandywine color version in awesome shape. It was traded in by an older lady tired of dragging it around the house. It has six pushbuttons on the top, and four attachment posts on the top, with a slot for the crevice tool. It's a great vac, has the VGI, and is a very quiet power nozzle, but very effective. I have straight suction canned hams, but always wanted one with a power nozzle so I could rotate it as one of my "daily drivers". She must've always disconnected the hose and hung it, as it's original with no cracks which is unusual.

Eureka added a RotoMatic power nozzle to the Empress II FastVac right at the very debut of their Power Team canisters in 1973. It was the top of the line of the Power Teams (Model 1280 I think).

In 1974, Consumer Reports rated the first version of this 1280 as "unacceptable" because the electrified hose plug kept pulling out of the socket on the main unit because they kept the 360 degree swivel feature of the hose. I hear that all subsequent units solved the problem by limiting the swivel of the hose at the main unit.
