Ultralux upright No, that is not the Lux lite. It is the Ultralux version of their upright. It no longer is in production. I believe brush rolls and motors are the same as in the others. The after filter is a little different. It's been a while since I last saw/worked on one, memory a...

adjusting PN 2 brushroll height. Mercuryman To adjust the brush height to compensate for wear, the sleeve bearing ends can be rotated. It you look at the bearing end, as you rotate the bearing, you will see a flat piece on the frame, if it's still the oem bearing, it will probably say used...

    Electrolux Power Nozzles

Canadian Lux PN'S PN 2 I believe the PN 2's were used on our AP 100, 200, 280 series canisters. It had a few mods compared to the US. The Canadian version lid actually went over top of the power cord, you could not remove the power cord without first taking the lid off. The other difference...

    Early Christmas

Be forewarned!! If your belt has the habit of coming off, Lux has a modification to prevent this from happening. It entails placing an end cap on the rotating shaft. Your dealer should be able to supply it free of charge. They do have a service bulletin on this matter.

    Opinions on Lindhaus

Lindhaus Power Nozzles All what I can say about the Lindhaus power nozzle is that they are phenomenal. It's amazing how much more dirt/debris a Lindhaus nozzle will remove right after using some of the "better known models" on the market. Also, the Lindaus nozzle is one of the few power nozzles...

    Lux PN 4

On the later Lux pn 4's, the front rubber bumper has eight slits in it. What is the reason for this?? (in order to move more dirt you have to move more air??, or were they put there in order to make it easier to push across the carpet (preventing the nozzle from sticking itself to the...

Is this really a vintage thing?

Dry Foam Cleaning Method If I'm not mistaken, this unit is known for the dry foam/low moisture cleaning method. A lot of these foam cleaning machines have a compressor like unit to make the detergent solution into a foam before it is applied to the carpet. Vernon

how hot should the cord/plug get?

Too small of cord gauge causes overheating Most manufacturers have gone el-cheapo on the power cords. Instead of putting a 16 gauge power cord which will take upto 13 amps, they are using an 18 gauge which is only good for 10amps. If your machine is pulling 10-11 amps on an 18 gauge power cord...
