I believe it is a first issue heritage II bag. It's different than the bag on my later(1986) heritage II It is in great, almost new shape. no tears, stains or scuffs on it. It's very clean

I always seal the fan case on every Kirby I take apart. Fine dust DOES find it's way out.

Who knows how it got in there. Vacuums love to collect dust and lint in the strangest places

remove the two screws i marked in the pic with green lines, and remove the two screws on the other side as well. this detaches the nozzle from the main unit so you can open it up
