VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

That Discovery looks to be a bagless model. These went on sale in 2001 in the UK. I have added that to my watch list.

I am wondering what type of separation system it uses - or whether its like a plastic box with a foam filter on the back, or whether its like the permabag material used in the Turbopower 2 Permabags.

Googling the model number returns next to nothing about this model, which is probably why there is no interest in it.

I think it uses a Dust Box with Foam Filter at the back, at the time Cylinder cleaners (apart from Dyson ones) used this type of dust separation.

I had a feeling that might be the case. I think I will have to leave that one, as I just don't know enough about it yet. If it was a bagged machine it might have got more interest. I cant see the seller letting it go for a penny either, so she'll probably pull the listing soon if it gets no bids.

Yes I saw that one, but its a 2000W not a 1700W.

There is no manual to download off Hoover's website either. Candy must have destroyed them all for the older machines.

It looks like the predecessor to the Sensory

I am tempted - but not sure because it might not receive any interest. This was probably one of the last decent Hoover Cleaners because this was made in Europe.

The problem is that the seller has put up no photos of the machine, but she may do if it doesn't sell first time round. Again, I predict she will pull the item if it gets no more interest rather than let it go for a penny.

lol - I'd ROFL if you end up getting that for a penny, and I end up paying £400 for the Sebo C3.1. I think it could be worth putting a tenner on all the items that have no bids - got to be worth a punt! The only one I deffo wouldn't want is that Hoover Studio - tiny little things they are lol

I'm wondering about the Panny upright for £30 - the only thing is it finishes on Easter Sunday when I am away visiting family.

I had a bagless discovery once and it had a horrible thick blue dust box that clogged in seconds. Shame becauseI quite liked it until the suction dropped off to comical levels!

That zorbster is a beauty!
