Well, I'm no Electrolux expert, but, I did hear a motor, I did see a brushroll spinning. Maybe I'm wrong...
A LOT of people just want to get a rise out of others.............. upset them, or just showcase their ignorance or arrogance. There are several "out there". It's really sad when you think about it.
As I've said numerous times, (not aiming at one particular individual), "We cannot be responsible for anyone else's ignorance, arrogance, stupidity, or bad taste".

Why would I care if he smashes them, fills them with water, runs over them, or drops them in a crusher?
I've sent thousands of vacuums to the crusher in my decades of vacuum sales/repair.
We used to hang hoovers from trees and blow them away with shotguns. For fun. When I worked for Rainbow. Those were considered trash, as they were trade-ins and we would NEVER have wanted someone else to own one.
If you're going to be outraged, be outraged at something worth while.

Often the cars they wreck in movies are mock-ups made from junkyard cars. Even in Hollywood, it doesn't make sense to buy a car of value for a shoot and wreck it if you can avoid it.

I will confess-I took acouple DEAD Kirbys to the sandpit for target shoots!.308 will indeed shoot thru the motor!These machine were discards and the motors were bad.This was a long-long time ago.Should have done this to a Dyson?The vac shop owner of the place I go to today was thinking of saving some dud vacuums for target practice with his pistol collection.
Car destruction-I have two DVDs from Aachen auto showing MANY cars being fed to an "EZ-Crush" car crusher-included a few Volvos,TV,Fridge,and even a boat-and a couple of scrap commercial rider mowers!One of the DVDs shows a pretty woman crunching the cars-she gleefully pushes the crush button on the EZ-Crush compactor!And even the kids get into the fun!!!An EZ-Crush crusher is great family entertainment-the kids were asked how many cars they crunched-the gleefully say how many.Enough to fill a semitruck trailer of cars to go to the shredder.Now we need videos of that!!!a 6,000 hp shredder grinding thru cars is interesting!!!

I think back to the early 80s working in a vac shop, Like Tom, then I had no use for uprights, we threw out tons of convertibles, Westinghouse Converto Vacs, and old Eurekas , then I had no appreciation for them,now I am 52, not 17 and I know better, the stuff we were selling then I never thought would be collectable, but in those days I was sure I was the only person in the world who collected old vacuums, I have learned a lot in 35 years!When I met Clay Floyd, he taught me the History of Hoover, I thought of Hoovers then as a cheap store vacuum, I never knew the history, now I do, and I have many Hoovers as well as other stuff I didn't use to even look twice at.

The fellow that stars in those smash videos is now working on fans--brand new ones out of the box from WalMart.The weight toss,tubs of water.He now has a large weight disc he throws onto vacuums or fans.The Lux machines he smashed seemed in good shape to me-those with the handles like that and the big step on toggle switch-those parts are broken on ones I find in Kirby or Rainbow trade in piles.There are a few old Blowers-fans out here at work-15Hp motors-would love to see him try to "smash" those while they are running--he would get smashed-would be like walking into an airplane propeller!Thats why prop tips are painted bright colors-so ground crews can see that the prop is spinning and to stay away from it!

I love the freedoms that we enjoy by living in America.
I understand that this individual, however warped and disturbed, has a right to do whatever he wants with his legally obtained property.
That being said, I've never been able to bring myself to watch one of his videos, will never watch one of his videos, and wouldn't even want to encourage him by giving him additional views.
And I won't sign up for a YouTube account, so I couldn't flag his videos if I wanted to.
Just because you "can" do something, doesn't mean you "should" do it.
You and I visit thrift stores looking for bargains on items that we can clean up, fix up, or pass along to someone who will give them new life.
He goes to the same places, and buys the same items, so he can destroy them; insuring that nobody else will ever be able to enjoy them.
One example:
Inevitably, when I'm watching vacuum videos, some of his will show up in my suggestions.
One vacuum that he destroyed was a hand vac called the "Busy Bee".
It may be lame of me, but I sometimes buy things because I like the name.
This would be one of those times.
Aside from simply thinking that the name is adorable, we're small-scale, (not very good) gardeners, and love bees.
I would buy one of these hand vacs in a heartbeat.
However...even a Google search doesn't turn up anything except this guy's vile video.
Sadly, I don't really see what can be done, other than just not giving him more views or clicks or whatever the correct term is.
Unfortunately, he must have enough sick individuals who get off on this kind of thing to keep him going.
Maybe, if you know where he's from, and you live nearby, just make an effort to hit as many of your local thrift stores and such before he gets there.
As for me, I'm going to go give some love to my newly acquired Convertible, U4387...one of which he also destroyed, according to my YouTube suggestions.

I do understand completely where everyone is coming from, hell theres some vacs i wish he wouldn't smash, but i laugh at it sometimes and most of the time it really intrests me. Showing to see how long the motor can stand up to all of the abuse, which show cases the durability of the vacuum is pretty entertaining to me, in my opinion, however, stopping them really is doing no good, there will always these vintage machines he destoryed, if not in an shop some where, it'll be on Ebay (though, the prices are a bit higher on that site) it is painful to watch for some, including me, but just get over it, its just a vacuum, yes sometimes it can be a burden to watch, but if so just click out, simple as that, lifes too short to be a bit mad over a collectable machine destoryed, i think some of the vids are awsome, some aren't for showcasing the destruction of a vintage machine but either way, isn't somthing i think we should do somthing about, just let hunter live his life the way he wants to, he probably scraps these for metal and thats just his source of income, idk, but my opinion is, just leave em' alone and let them do there thing, if there happy there happy and atleast there not beating/killing a person. Instead somthing material. Which all this killing is somthing we should do about in the world in general. But this is a vacuum place, not a facebook, but theres just my 2 cents, nobody take this too personal, which i dont think no one will, just new here so don't want any trouble

On the link to the purple haired goon smashing his Dyson we also can see a new smashing by the other man with Green hair--a "Lux Sliverado Deluxe.He also tries to vacuum his yard with it.Then he smashes a new Lasko box fan.All the "Lux needed was a new hose!
