So we all know this videos are distasteful and unpleasant, but there is something we can do, this guy has a ton of videos involving water in vacuum cleaners, so I've been encouraging anyone who feels as I do to flag his videos as promoting dangerous and reckless activities. Its not safe, and I do wish he's just electrocute himself, but in the meantime lets all flag those videos!

I guess he wanted

water in his basin! All kidding aside, if it's the sane guy who made other videos, (how many could there be)? He's clearly "not the full shilling", no friends, anger problems,... we ALL know people like that. I WILL say.... that Electrolux came back numerous times after being smashed. He had to drop weights on it to kill it.

Still, this IS America. We cannot be responsible for the ignorance of others. I've said that before.
Flagging it as being dangerous, however, is an idea.

People with heavy mental disabilities resort to smashing shit. Also the more people needlessly smash this stuff, the less of it is left. Look at how many classic cars were crushed and destroyed in the past and how rare they are now.

Many Plymouth Superbirds were worthless in 1970 and driven into the ground, or had their wings and nosecones torn off and thrown away. Now it's a half a million dollar car restored, and still costs more than a Ferrari Enzo as a beat up barn find. Same with the Tucker coupe, insurance companies called it "deadly and dangerous" and with nobody allowed to buy it, a lot of them got destroyed. Also a very costly car today.

On a smaller scale, same happens with vacuum cleaners. The more people needlessly destroy and throw out, that's one less that comes to market, shrinking the pool more and more. Then the price of remaining used ones climb higher and higher. Hell, the computer my parents bought when I was a kid, think I can try and buy that back today? It rarely comes up for sale. They all were scrapped because they were claimed to be "worthless".

Just flag those vids as terroristic acts or whatever that option is on youtube and hope for the best. YouTube rarely listens to video report flags, but after that incident with Jake Paul in Japan's suicide forest a week or two ago where youtube ignored the video report flags, maybe the bad press will get them to respond more to reports.

I remember seeing a spy movie made in the '70's where
during a car chase, the hero ran his mint '63 Jaguar XKE
straight into a concrete wall. I literally felt sick.

I have such a hard time understanding

Hello All,
I so don't get it. Whoever is smashing the vacuums it does seems to look like they are doing it on their property or a place where they work.
I would guess they paid for the vacuum and I am of the opinion that they can do what they want with these vacuums. I just don't see making a big deal about this.
I for one could care less about this and yes I have saved a few vacuums from the trash bin and I have put a few in the trash bin.
I am not trying to hurt anyone’s feeling as we are all entitled to our opinions.
Well with all this being said I did buy a Hoover Convertible Model 65 that is in really poor shape, but I guess you could say I am a sucker for a sucker.
I might use the green hood and the lens that came with it and many years ago Krylon made a paint call Heather or Heather Rose we used. It will never be perfect but it will go good with my Hoover RS.
Thank you for looking,
Pete

He destroyed another...

After a few others, and myself commented our honest opinions about the 1205 destruction, he decided to mock us by destroying this Super J. I am never watching his videos or even going to his channel again.

It has become an unpleasant habit to "flag someone off" a platform just because you don't like their content. That's not what freedom is all about, at least for me. I'm from Germany and we have to deal with a new law which requires social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook to remove "problematic content" immediately, driving people to report everyone crossing their way with an opinion they are just not comfortable with. It has become insane and dangerous.

Get a grip - after all it's only a vacuum cleaner and adults should be able to just accept and realize that a vacuum cleaner does not mean the world to each and everyone.

"Let's flag him off - this has to stop" - sorry, but that is an attitude which makes me feel more uncomfortable than seeing someone trash a vacuum.

I completely agree with Sharky's comments. There are far greater things in today's world to worry about than someone destroying THEIR OWN property.

And, as has been noted, the more attention these people get the more they're going to keep doing it. "Ignore them and they'll go away."

Damn! I've been looking for a 1205 or a Super J and this ass-for-brains is trashing them willy-nilly! However, I have smashed some trash found plastic bagless vacs that were broken. Smashing the cheap bagless cleaners is so satisfying!

This has always been a hot subject on this forum, Ive seen discussions of it get very nasty indeed. There are those on here that feel smashing anything vacuum related is an offense of the highest order. I read someone on here get there proverbial posterior reamed because they accidentally sucked up a coin in a machine and broke it. We all come from very different walks of life and have very passionate opinions on our hobby. I for one couldn't even bring myself to smash the worst vacuum in the history of the world. Since this is such a touchy subject lets all try to keep it very civil, just my two cents!

I look at it this way, regardless of a video of it they would do it anyway. Furthermore if they had not posted the videos to begin with no one would have known. That said he’s trolling for views and negative reactions for YouTube ad revenue. He’s admitted it. It’s annoying sure, but it doesn’t ruin my day.

I have an apology video coming soon since it seems my vintage videos have “offended” some collectors. I will be deleting the vintage videos out of respect for the people who feel offended over it.

Now let me set some things straight... first of all I wasn’t doing this for Attention I’ve been destorying things since I was a kid I have videos from at least 4 years before YouTube was even created!! (Not vacuums though) the past two years I’ve been getting vacuums honestly I will say I have gotten carried away but that was due to how many views it’s gotten not the negative comments or I would had already stopped!

Now about the vacuums. I’ve only destroyed ONE vacuum that had nothing wrong with it. And it was a new modern vacuum I got on Black Friday. I actually bought two one for a video and one for keeps (it’s not that great of a vacuum though)

99% of the vacuums I get either are going to the TRASH or have been abused beyond repair (yes I know it seems some of you here might actual be able to manage that) What you don’t know is all the vacuums I don’t destroy if there’s nothing wrong with them I don’t touch them, I’ve seen some interesting ones of the years which I would probably collect some but the thrift store usually wants way to much for vintage working ones. A lot of people going all out and not even realising the story of the vacuum.

I’m very sorry if anyone thought I was offending them by destorying vacuums, I don’t have any issue with vacuum collectors. I won’t call myself a vacuum collector but there’s been times I’ve held onto a few vacs before giving them away, but I will admit to watching some videos and a little upset that some of the people I’ve watched videos of have been harassing and bullying. I thought the bullying stopped in high school?

And about flagging the videos that’s very disrespectful to me and the YouTube community. My videos are up to par with YouTube’s policy. Now some comments that’s been posted by others are against YouTube’s policy and if they continue ill be reporting them as a lot are harassing and bullying which is wrong! I see something almost everyday about online bullying it’s sad and can be difficult with someone that maybe suffering with something.

Now onto my apology. (Sorry if it’s not allowed here). I will keep up this forum, but the next vacuum I find that’s either cheap or about to be trashed as long as it mostly works and is older than early 80s I will post it here and give it away to someone who really wants it (along as shipping is not to bad)

Once again I’m sorry and I hope to prove that anyway you guys (or gals) have some really neat vacuums and I hope you all have a great weekend.
