How can you have a thread titled 'your most favourite vacuum' then list 22?

I have one most favourite and its a 1988 Hoover Turbomaster Total System Electronic U5096 in Cotswold beige to give it its full title.

I forgot the "S" on vacuums

btw nice Turbomaster U have there; I guess it was our Elites here in the States? If this economic crisis didn't happen, I'd buy every vintage vac for sale.

Did the Turbomaster have variable speed control?

The Turbomaster was sold as the Innovation in the US. The Turbopower was the Sovereign, and we had the Elite as the Turbolite.

Here's my favourite cleaner of all time; 1935 Model 800:

Mine

Has to be these- my top dream machines to be found

1) Hoover 28
2) Hoover 850
3) Hoover 150
4) Hoover 61- 63- ahh idk the one that looks like the old old old convertibles but more square- vintage hoover has a thread started a not to long ago with a blue one.

'I think I ment the 825 more than the 850.'

Well only you know for sure, Ryan...

The 850 was a Canada exclusive based on the 450, although with a polished, not painted, motor cowl, so it resembles a more compact Model 800. It had a large maple leaf design on the bag. It was also fitted with the Aromador air freshener, possibly the only 'Popular-Priced' model to have this feature.

I have two favorite vacuums.
1. the Kirby Classic that was my great-grandmothers, then my grandmothers, and now is in my care(just came back fom it's rebuild at the factory today)
2. Hoover Convertible 1020 which is grandma's but will be mine someday

A MOST favorite is hard to say, but if i absolutely HAD TO pick a MOST favorite,,,id have to say the Kirby Heritage 2.
Mainly because a Heritage 2 is one of the most versatile and has the most functions of any vacuum cleaner ever devised.
(Yes, they did make a Handy Butler for the Heritage series.)
It can vacuum with a beater brush, it can vacuum with attachments and strait suction,, it can shampoo, polish hard wood, sand, buff, scrub, spray, paint, even message your scalp and back side! It can even cut your hair, and vacuum up the clippings, without missing a beat!
Yes, an Electrolux (lets say a Model G) or an FQ can do all of these things too,BUT, they cant be an upright cleaner with the motor and all of its power right there infront of you like a Kirby,,,they can only be a cannister that you have to drag around behind you.
The reason i say a Heritage 2, and not another model of Kirby, such as a Classic series,500 series, Heritage 1, or G series is because the Heritage 2, with its shaved down winged bell design of its Rug Nozzle head makes the Heritage 2 (and Legend 2 , of course)superior to all others,, very easy to use, and is not top front heavy like the Classic Rug Nozzle.

If you've ever used a Heritage 2, you'll notice in pushing it across the carpet that the Rug Nozzle seems to almost spread its wings across the carpet,,,and right up to the baseboards and corners. Not even a 500 series or a G series can do it quite like a Heritage 2.
I feel the design and longevity of the Heritage 2 (and Legend 2) is superior to all other Kirby's,,and all other vacuums for that matter, but,
Of course this is just my own opinion,,,,and opinions are like "you know what" holes,,,everybody has one!! lol

My Favorites:

1.Hoover model 61
2.Compact C6 and C8
3.Kirby Sentria, D80, and Heritage II or Legend II

All of these I own except the Legend II. ;)
