Will The Hoover Purepower Models Be Terminated Following This New Legislation?

The Hoover Purepower has Proved to be one of Hoover's longest running uprights, and since it's production began the wattage has crept up more and more with painfully cheap components. Will Hoover bother redesigning the motors to meet this new law? Will Hoover find it another selling point by adding additional features which were once standard or will this new legislation lead to the dismissal of the popular bagged upright model?

The Purepower must be a good seller for Hoover for it to last this long, so I think they will keep it for a while longer with a lower wattage motor. They produced a 1200 watt Greenray model which would have met the criteria for the legislation this year.
