Will Retrobright damage graphics

Ok, so I am getting prepared to pull the trigger on using Retrobright to clean up the yellowing of my parents and now my trusty old Kenmore canister vac. My worry is that the Retrobright process could damage the graphics on the rear of the canister. Unfortunately that is the most badly yellowed part of the machine but I don't want to bleach out the graphics in order to get rid of the yellowing.

Any thoughts on how to handles this? I'll repost a couple of images of the vacuum so you can see what I am worried about.

What about putting tape over the graphics or what you don't want touched. The use an exacto knife to cut out what you do need.

I worry that since the stuff is a liquid it would soak through or under whatever you covered the graphics with and maybe make things worse. It is also the area around the graphics and the rear of the lid that have the worst yellowing.

I have to think some other members have encoutered this before working with this stuff and understand it's properties.

How about coating the label with petroleum jelly?

It would be worth your while to do some dumpster digging at a vacuum store or thrift store for something on which to experiment.
