You have a great collection of vintage Hoovers. The only modern-day Hoover shown is the lightweight Platinum bagged upright. I own one also. It's a decent vac, but it does have a couple of shortcomings. For one, because the height is not adjustable, it's not easy to use on thicker carpet. I'm wondering what other folks who have it think of it.
It would be neat for anyone to arrange their whole collection in an outdoor area and take an aerial photo with a camera mounted to a drone.

John I love all the hoovers really cool I have a spare bedroom full of vacs.kenkart cool idea for a thread I like the old shampooers also to shampoo with they seem to clean better I have old carpet getting new this month then wont have to shampoo all the time.

Just vacuumed with the Filter Queen D-33, about all I regularly use is that or the Kirby Legend II but the latter is on loan to my parents at present. I believe the FQ is from '82 or so and the Kirby from '89, so they're not exactly old but far from new. Can't think of anything new I'd prefer!

I don't mind using vintage machines to clean with, especially since most clean better & are better quality/better motors & constructed. However, having said that, I use them with modern updates. My Electrolux Grand Marquise, which is my daily driver, is a perfect example - it uses the HEPA filtration bags, hose with powerhead on/off switch built in, & the powerhead has the newer-style 48497 10 degree brushroll for the PN5 & PN6, which greatly improves the performance of the Electrolux L shaped PN. I also use aftermarket tools, or tools from other manufacturers where needed, such as using old Kenmore dusting/upholstery/crevice tools, & the Riccar multi-tool that up until recently was sold with their canisters, before the Riccar Prima/Simplicity Wonder was introduced & the Elux-style combo tool was introduced with those models.
