Who invented the friction sweeper?

Friction Sweeper

I have a Sears Roebuck Fiction Sweeper for sales.
Has Bag and sweeper.
I do not know if this is the original bag to this sweeper, though.
The bag is clamped onto the casting of the sweeper.
I have photographs if yo are interested.
Fiction Fan work well / most of the brushes are gone

In Carol Gantz' history of the vacuum cleaner book,
she notes Scott & Fetzer's Grasshopper friction-vac
went on sale in 1910.

Stamm, from Canton, Ohio, may have been associated
with the Vital Manufacturing Co. of Cleveland who
sold the Vital friction sweeper in 1917 (4 yrs. after
Stamm's patent filing).
