What vac do you want for Christmas

For Christmas I would like a Vintage Hoover (big surprise!) and as luck would have it, I just this morning won and paid for a Hoover Junior 119 on eBay!

It is in dire need of some TLC and definitely a respray, but the motor works (supposedly) and it is all intact so I am very excited to take receipt of it sometime next week and get started on the restoration which I intend to do thoroughly, though not all at once. Put simply, I will get it running 100% first then do the aesthetics at a later date, but they will be done.

Oh Jamie, I know you will simply love it. I own a Hoover 115, very similar to the 119 and it is one of the few vintage vacuums I own that is used fairly frequently. It helps take care of our dinning room rug along with a hoover convertible 219.

As for what I would like for Christmas, I really have no preference and my family tends to surprise me. But I do have a sneaking suspicion that it may be a Gtech airram.

Thank you Scott, I'm sure I will! I will have to wait until I receive it to know what year it is from, but it is from the 1950s - I know that much. I would have rather got the 119 with matching colour scheme to my 1949 612, but that's life and after all I now have an excuse to buy another 119 further down the line!

Christmas Vac

that I would like for Christmas is a Kirby Sentria 2. I already have a Sentria 1.. So then I would have the complete Kirby G series..

Not entirely sure... I'll probably see what I get for money this year and then go shopping... I also suspect my wonderful boyfriend will find something to buy me. The only vacuum I mentioned to him was a Panasonic at Wal-Mart, it is a bag less one, but it is multicyclonic and seems like a somewhat decent machine to play around with. I'd love to get a brand new NSS M-1 with the power wand, but I have no realistic expectation of that happening.

I toyed with the idea of getting another Hoover Junior but then I remembered that every time I have had one, it is hell on my back. I forgot how small the handle is on the Junior in terms of height. A Senior may be better, but I'm happy with my Vax VCU02 - its still going and nowt has broken off it, yet.

I already bought myself a

a very lightly used almost new Kirby Sentria off ebay.
I installed new bag and belt. Brushroll seems to be in excellent condition. It polished up beautifully and sucks like no other vacuum I've ever owned. The Tech Drive makes it seem like it's floating on a cushion of air.

I would say a Heritage or Sentria II...

But I got both for very cheap! The Sentria II I got from a Craigslist trade... I would have felt bad trading it for a kindle fire, but it needed a lot of work.

And the Heritage? My dad got me one for $8 at the thrift store. It's barely been used.
