The color looks to be

that as used by the Tenant Co. They manufactured large industrial maintenance equipment. Some so large you could ride on it. The cover is obviously missing which reveals a rather cheap, small motor/fan assembly. Does any one remember the Sanitaires that were bolted together. Two motors, two beater bars, two bags, one handle. Covered about a 24" path. I used to service them when I breifly worked for a maintenance machine repair company.

The Hoover Conquest Wide area vacuum is attached together....I ran one of these at the Elementary School once. There hallways are carpet and boy THIS THING HAS GOT THE POWER...Imagine. vacuum your house in 10 SEC!

I just remembered seeing one of those double sanitaires at a museum. I LOVED IT! Anyone have a pic of one??
