I listen to variety of genres of music and groups. Like oldschool Prodigy, Manowar etc. It really depends on the mood and usually I'm doing something else while listening.

Music is the best cure for passing the time

I almost always have the following playing in the background while working on a sweeper-

1) Fleetwood Mac
2) Pink Floyd
3) America
4) Gordon Lightfoot
5) Abba
6) Blondie
7) Bread
8) Led Zepplin if i'm feeling a little hard rock
9) Hall & Oats
10) Pet Shop boys and many many more

I like to listen to Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Kaiser Cheifs, Queen, Kate Bush, Michael Jackson, Chic & Sister Sledge etc but I also like a lot of electronic stuff too, such as Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Mr Oizo, Justice, Alan Braxe, Le Knight Club... and how could I forget Kraftwerk! :)

I remember that they played it on AM Radio WRBD out of Ft. Lauderdale. Our school buses had radios only AM radios on them plus their 2 way cb. Oh yeah we had Disco 95 on the FM which turned into I95 Radio that played all those. What fun memories

Love the info!

Nice to hear that somebody remembers it! I have it on a '33 and a '45. They had an extended version, but I like the original radio edition better. Yes, I am a disco fan myself!

You may wish to have a listen to the only 'regular' radio programming I know of for Organ fans.....

Go to www.bbc.co.uk/radio/programmes/ At the top of the page there is a 'find programmes' box.... Type in 'Organist Entertains'.... It's a regular programme of music hosted by a popular Concert Organist from this side of the 'pond'.... I think he was once resident Organist at the renowned Blackpool Tower Wurlitzer... :-)

All best

As you might have guessed by my screen name I'm a polka lover.  There are many different styles of polka music but, I prefer the Midwest Dutchmen sound (think MN/WI).  The typical Dutchmen band is 5-6pcs with trumpet, sax/clarinet, concertina, piano, drums, bass horn.   I also enjoy the Eastern WI Bohemian/Czech sound.  These bands are usually 7pcs with 2 trumpets, 2 reeds (2 clarinets & 2 saxophones), piano, drums, and bass horn.

My friend operates an internet polka radio station (WRJQ) out of Appleton, WI that broadcasts 24/7 playing all polka genres, but mainly the 2 styles I've mentioned above.

Mainly

Christian Rock, such as Newsboys, TobyMac, Mercy Me, usually 96.5 FM. I am not one of modern music like Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, etc. I ESPECIALLY do not like rap music. I grew up with Queen, playing Bohemian Rhapsody, or Christian.

I like to stand out from the crowd, I like being different:
Michelle Branch
Dido
Tori Amos
Natalie Imbruglia
Heather Nova
Clean bandit
Haim
Terra Naomi
Saving Jane
Alanis Morissette
Lisa Loeb
Heart (the band)
Andrea Corr
Kate Nash
Vanessa Carlton
Maria Taylor
Stevie Nicks
Fleetwood Mac
IVY
Liz Phair
Sophie Ellis-Bextor
Chantal Kreviazuk
Melanie Doane
Nerina Pallot
Florence+the machine
And I think thats it!

This is by far my all time favourite:

I have always liked...

Most 70a & 80s pop and classic rock. Here's a few:
Van Halen
Pat Benatar
Laura Brannigan
Blondie
Scandal
AC/DC
Aerosmith
Kim Carnes
Whitney Houston
Tina Turner
Animotion
The Go Go's
Journey
Bonnie Tyler
Bon Jovi
The Bangles
Foreigner
Missing Persons
Billy Idol
Cher
Prince
Madonna
Boston
Banannarama
R.E.M.
The B-52s

And those are just a few lol. But they are pretty good for "pump it up" music which is what I like if I'm doing a project.
