Found this on the local Craigslist...what model is this and what can you tell me about it?

That is model U4111, one of the last aluminum alloy base Convertibles, made from 1976-1978.
The cleaner is finished in denim blue and oyster white, with the original dust bag jacket styled to look like a pair of blue jeans with the Hoover name emblazoned on a brown leather patch, as might appear on the seat of an actual pair of jeans.

absolutely correct.
I have 2...both are metal. They also made this in plastic. THat bag was cute....with the fake leather patch saying, "HOOVER" on it. I'll have to dig up a pic.

The plastic version of this cleaner was U4129, I believe.
