Dysonman is right on the model, they are real workhorses. I had one that sucked up a nickel decades ago, left a nickel shaped dent in the fan case lol. I have the 32 volt version as well as a 120 volt version, love them both.

The motor sounds great to me but if your concerned you can check the motor bearings for greasing if needed. Most of my older appliances of similar vintage make a kind of prrrreeeeennnn sound at start up. Just the nature of the beast which I enjoy lol! Many ways to fix the squeaking wheels with lube, just don't want to over do it and leave marks on your carpet! How long have you had this machine? Bill
