Its not!!!

Polished or pretty, the bag is a little worn, but I wouldnt trade it for a new Miele , It was one of the first vacs I got from Mike Rogers years ago.

IT is THE!!!

EASIEST vacuum to push , and cleans pretty good, I came in second or third at one convention in the revolving brush post war contest, I think a Eureka 260 won.

I wish I had pics of what I started with, ...

Three old piles of JUNK!!!! I took pieces and parts and made one pretty good vacuum, Don O Conner in Youngstown Ohio re bristled the brush, I have a spare cloth bag that is nicer than the one on it, I use F,and G bags or a Handisac in it.

...of all time?

Man, that's a tough one. Is it one of the several that I stupidly let go, like the classy Hoover 63, or the mint 28 with nary a scratch or scuff on it? Or, could it be something that's still on my bucket list; a Hoover 305 or one of several Convertibles?

Of the vacuums I currently own it would have to be my 700.

My model 700 is my current owned favorite coffee can. Its in the best shape out of the 4 that I have.

My personal all time favorite, is a dead tie between the hoover 825, and 900.

It's really hard to choose, I like my Hoover 61 a lot since it's in nice shape, cleans well, and has good looks.

This is a toughie, Hans. For me it would have to first & foremost be all about elegant engineering & build quality, which is no guarantee of either Pretty or Performance.
But when all Four elements come together it makes my heart sing with emotion and sheer joy.

My third choice would have to be this Canadian Hoover 281 in great shape with original Maple Leaf bag. This is the one a 91 year old Lady offered to me after googling up my name because her Family were moving her out of her home to a Granny Flat. The day before I was to go pick it up the Lady passed away in her chair. The daughter found her notes about me and honored her Mother's wish. They also gave me the matching Polisher and assorted tools, wands and hoses. This was one much loved and well-taken care of Hoover as you can see from the base paint. It hums and thrums just as if new.

So this is the tug at my heartstrings favorite.

That's a hard one for me to answer too, but I guess it would be my Singer Model R1, all things considered.

Mine would have to be my Kirby Model 560. I like to call it my "50th Anniversary" model since we were both built in 1960!

I took a lot of care rebuilding this one. When I use it, it also allows me to indulge my odd fascination with looking at vacuum bag debris.

My two top favorites though have to be this Singer S-2 and the Premier Model 9.

The Model 9 was this lad's first purchase almost 40 years ago from a Retro Shop going out of business last day sale. I was literally running my hands all over it's undulating curves crying Yes Yes Yes.
The bag is aftermarket but at least it's labeled for GE. It's a terrific carpet groomer the equal of the Hoover 281.

The twin-fan Singer S is the Loewy innovative 1949 restyle of the Famed Singer R Series. I have wanted one for ever so long and have missed out on many by days & minutes & topping bids but finally I got one. Someday, if the Gods are kind, I will add S's 1,3 & 4.

Holy Grail Dream Vac is a Hoover 150/160 and most of all the Canadian Version (161?) trimmed in blue with a blue maple Leaf.
