Greetings vacuum land! After going through some of my favorite bare floor tools in a recent video. I Wondered what vacuum lands favorite currently produced bare floor tool is? Before somebody says "the floor to my Airway sanitizer" What's your favorite floor tool that's available for sale in 2018 new ?

I like the swivel neck WW bare floor too as well. Its a favorite since if fits most 1.25" wands.Like the WW squeegee tool-this comes with the Greenville Sew&Vac Port-A-Vacs.MD unit mounted on a janitor cart.I HATE,HATE those switchable carpt-hard floor tools-for me they always switch modes by themselves-and they can't do either job for me.I do like the squeegee tool on low pile carpet-for deep pile-you need your tractor to push it-esp when used on a central vac.Mine are not connected to plumbing-used freestanding with just the hose in the utility inlet.I DON'T use powernozzles on bare floors-just don't work well and I would be afraid of them damaging the floor with their hard floor shoes-designed for carpets. The WW swivel neck tool comes with the MD attachment-hose kits.Least the one I bought at the SEw&Vac place.HATE-HATE the Kirby combo tool-most USELESS tool out there. They really should just relegate this as a carpet surface tool and throw in a separate hard floor tool.-Like the WW swivel neck one-this works well on a Kirby in the hose-wand mode.

hard floor tools

I use several hard floor tools that are currently available, there is the typical 12 and 14 inch hard floor brush, I have these but don't use them much, the ones I use are a bit more unique, I'm not sure if one works better than another but they all work well.
I agree that using a regular power nozzle, or upright on hard floors is a bad idea. At best it will scatter what you are trying to vacuum up, at worst, it will scratch the floor. The nozzles I am going to list are in no particular order.
This first one is sold by Centec Systems as the wave, it's the Wessel-Werk rd285. This one has no brush but does have a squeegee along with large wheels.

Then there is the sidewinder hard floor tool, I like this one because you can clean faster than most of the other tools and it's great at cleaning along edges and corners.

Then there is the Centec CT10, this is a power nozzle but it's designed for hard floors. If you have an electric hose this is an awesome hard floor nozzle, supposedly these are no longer made but you can get them while they are available, I love mine. It has a special agitator designed so it will not scratch hard floors.

MD sells several really good tools as well. There is the spin pro, I don't have this one yet but should be getting it this week, it sounds really good. This is a rebranded Wessel-Werk hft265. It spins without a belt or turbine.

Then there is the manta mop, I don't have this but have thought about getting it. It vacuums and also has a dry mop pad to collect fine dust. I do have a similar tool that Tacony makes that came with my Simplicity Gusto.

then there is the Centra Mop, I'm also thinking about getting this, you wet the mop pad and while you vacuum up the loose dirt, the pad mops the floor.

Last but not least is the Axis floor brush, this is a rebranded Wessel-Werk d330, this is an awesome floor brush, it cleans really well and also allows you to get in to corners and clean edges, kind of like the sidewinder. This is also what Miele sells for their top of the line hard floor brush.

I'm also not a fan of the nozzles that switch from carpet to hard floors with a lever, for cleaning hard floors, the brush is too short and for cleaning carpets, you really need a spinning brush.

sorry for the typo guys

@n0oxy some of those are the same ones I tested in my video.
I'm glad you brought up that spinning turbo brush I had forgotten about that a friend of mine has one. It's quite the interesting idea of spinning brush for Bare floor.

I've always felt the dry mop on a vacuum was to make up for a vacuum that didn't have enough power.
@tolivac I couldn't agree with you more about the Kirby tool!

Wessel-werk hft265

Got this nozzle today, it definitely works, the agitator has a soft brush on one side and a squeegee on the other. I'm not sure exactly how the airflow spins the brush since there is no belt or turbine, usually with turbine brushes the cleaning power of the nozzle is decreased quite a bit but that doesn't seem to be the case with this nozzle. It's a bit noisier than an electric nozzle, kind of sounds like a motor cycle actually but it cleans really well, I would definitely suggest getting this one if you have lots of hard floors.

awesome video

Hey Alex, finally got a chance to watch the hard floor tools video, that was awesome. I love the first two nozzles too, I think the squeegee one is the RD285 and the second Wessel-Werk tool is the d330, also known as the turn and clean and a few other names. I'm not sure if you have access to the electric power nozzles but a comparison of those would be interesting, the EBK360 is a great power nozzle.
If you get a chance, try the sidewinder hard floor tool, it's also a great one along with the Wessel-Werk hft265 which has the spinning brush. Also, if you can get one, the Centec CT10 is a great nozzle for your configuration because it is designed for hard floors and area rugs.

@n0oxy glad you enjoyed! I have been using the RD285 nonstop since the video. Unfortunately that attachment used to live in the basement and now lives on the end of my hide a hose.

sidewinder I carried those for backpacks when those first came out at the vdta show.
I prefer to use the d330 tool in much the same manner over large areas.

I have not used Centec CT10 . Generally rotating brushes even at slower speeds on wood floors tend to scratch them and scrape them so I'm pretty cautious to try something like that in my household. But if I get a chance I will definitely test it.
