This came with my Turbopower 8000 when I got it. It looks like the end of an old canister vacuum hose. This doesn’t fit with my other vacuums and I’m wondering if I could modify this to work on my Shop Vac All Around.

"What's this?" My first thought was "gee, that's what I say to my big. dumb, goofy, trash hound male Husky every morning when I encounter the previous night's chewing project" O_O

But seriously it looks like the hose handle for a Kirby.

I've seen similar ends used on like extension hoses that would have a rubber cuff on one end to mate with a machine, and extend it's reach. If you remove the retaining ring by using the two oval shaped slots you should find a threaded cuff inside, you put the retainer over the hose then attach the cuff and snap the retainer into place.

Me too. I can tell you exactly what that is. You un-click the two slots with a flathead, then you put the outer ring down the hose, like on a garden hose. Then, you screw the white plastic bit on to the hose and push it all back together.

Thanks for telling me how to install it, you two! I got it on with some work.IMG_9592.jpeg IMG_9594.jpeg

My entire parts closet thrives on buying one vacuum and getting a dozen different attachments from a dozen different vacuums that do not go to it. :ROFLMAO:
The Lux D770 I recently bought from Japan I bought more for the hoses and Ze3 it came with. They were the wrong color for a D770 ( white instead of gray ) and the Ze3 had silver and orange graphics instead of the gray a D770's Ze3 would be, but both are exactly what I need for my Viking V720 to set it up like a European D720.

That is nice to hear. I have that setup too! I would love to set mine up as an American version.
Nah. The Eureka hose ours came with is nasty compared to the nice woven cloth hose Swedish Luxes came with and the Eureka Vibragroomer or Express / Rugmaster power nozzles they came with here are crude and noisy compared to the silent Ze3. You have this silent refined Lux vacuum, then you turn on the Rugmaster power nozzle and it sounds like you fired up a wood chipper in your home : /

hey, there you go, nothing gone to waste! often times you get the whole lot with the vacuum or whatever parts for cheaper than just the one part on its own too. ive gotten a kirby or two WITH attachment sets for LESS than the cost of ONE attachment kit! ($40-45)

What model?
The vacuum is a Lux D770 but the hoses and Ze3 power brush were from older Lux models and are the right colors to go with my Viking V720, which is an Electrolux D720 in 120 volt form for the North American market. In the US they were sold with a cheap silver vinyl Eureka style hose and one of two Eureka power nozzles. The vacuum is so quiet but the Eureka power nozzles are loud. Using a Ze3 with the nice braided cloth covered European hose will be a nice upgrade for the Viking. I have extra gray hoses and a gray Ze3 for the D770, stuff I bought in Japan when it was available so I can set up the D770 with the appropriate hose and power nozzle.
