Why, I do believe it is a re-badged Oreck with an very jacked-up, exorbitant price.

Interesting. Is Hoover in Australia owned by TTI or by Candy as it is in the UK?
If they're owned by TTI then that makes sense, since Oreck is also owned by TTI, and Hoover US/Vax UK both sell the cordless machines with lithium batteries.
