I found this in my basement, probably left here, it works very well, seems very sturdy, the power wand is incredible. itvsays olympia one on it.

definitely sellable!  you must have some basement!!.. that's a treasure, especially the powerhead with the light, that's rare and didn't come with that edition when it was released.

id say keep it it is a work horse of a vacuum one of Electrolux finest vacuums id keep it youd be amaze by its performance .Parts bags ect are cheap on ebay too .

how much is the thing worth, honestly? and whats a powehead? and yeah my basements full of old stuff, some broken mieles etc, im trying ti clear it all out, figured u guys would have some answers, im tight financially right now and have a basement full of old stuff

Hey

I'd say free just have them pay shipping. The vacuum is not super desire able.
You ate better to list on Craigslist or similar classifieds in your area. I'd say $15-$40 is what you may get and you have no fees.
I'm not trying to be rude just realistic. eBay fees and shipping with this vacuum you will probably lose money. Craigslist you won't make alot but you will make something.
I'd use the vacuum and how to use it. If you familiarize yourself with it when people come to look at it they can visualize through you themselves using it. Take a few good pics familiarize yourself with the vacuum. Know model make year produced and how well it works.

Ebay is a great choice....

I disagree, ebay is a good place to sell an Electrolux Olympia. Looking at completed sales I see ending prices ranging from 40.00 - 150.00. Shipping won't be that much, maybe 30 or 40 bucks, which you could put off on the buyer to pay. So if you sold this vacuum for 100.00 for example, and the shipping was say 35.00, Your ebay fee would be around 18.00. So you would still net around 72.00. And you think its not worth selling on Ebay? I doubt they could get that kind of price selling on craigslist or facebook marketplace. I have been selling vacuums on ebay for over 15 years so I think my opinion holds a little weight. A friend of mine just sold a vacuum just like this, even had the l shaped power nozzle and it sold for 101.00. I wish you luck in whatever you decided to do with this vacuum.

Don;t forget that if he is a new seller on eBay, your payment from the sale is frozen until you ship the vacuum, then about a week or so after the item is claimed as delivered on USPS tracking do you get the money. eBay has a classified section too but I never had any luck with it. If he doesn't want to register on eBay, Craigslist would be an option. But if he has a lot more broken vacuums, broken Mieles', then it might make sense to start an eBay account.
