Miele SEB-236 or any Eureka style PN with a VGII or VGIII. The Electrolux PN-1 wins for looks, it's "ok" at cleaning.

What is the best power nozzle

,I have several that seem to work pretty well

(1) Hoover Quadraflex
(2)Air-Way 80th Anniversary
(3)Electrolux Oxygen3
(4)Electolux Epic 8000
I seem to prefer the power nozzles that have height adjustments to the simple "floating heads"
I also like the smaller heads with lights

The ones I do not like to use:

(1) Hoover Windtunnel Canister-will NOT stand by itself and it's too big and bulky
(2) Dyson canister-way too agressive on my carpets, damaged two different types of rugs
(3) Rainbow-too big and bulky to use

1) Panasonic made PN for Vita Vac
2)Hoover Quadraflex Powermatic
3)Eureka Roto-matic with Vibra Groomer II

has to be the generic Douglas made power nozzle. it came with the vita vac, airways, rebuilt luxs, metropolitan, etc. you can still buy it.

why, chevron brushroll grooms very well, also has deep air vents in the front, no matter how much power the vac has it is NEVER hard to push, does not seal to the carpet. fits under sofas, bed etc due to low profile

lows, does not have a swivel neck and some of them came with out the on off switch for the brush.

1.Kenmore 2nd generation made by Panasonic(not the "whisper-belt".I think the same one thats on Sam's Vita-Vac)also on Royal power-tank.

2. Eureka w/vibra-groomerII

3. Hoover Quadraflex

Hey Jack!

Nice lines =) That really grooms the carpet, Do you know if that brushroll the same as in the US PN that Rob speaks of?

Hi Kenny, yes it would be the same brush-roll. I've used this on a large number of different carpet styles, and the only one I'd hesitate to use it on is looped pile wool. Otherwise, no issues whatsoever. As you can see, it really grooms well, and pick-up is amazing!

the best I ever used

the power nozzle that came with my Miracle mate. The power nozzle is lindhaus which is the tol. The power nozzle is the same as the stealth from md built vacuums website and it cleans real good.

Any of the Eureka made power nozzles.

Actually the early Lux power nozzles are good in my opinion for wool area rugs, gentle with the carpet but yet does the job.

The Panisonic (I think Hayden built), Kennmore, later Royal version are probably the best. My Air-Way also uses that power nozzle. Will out clean anything on the market.
When I purchased my Air-Way they were still using the gear driven belt (cogged), right after I bought mine they went with the whisper belt (I refer to it as the serpintine belt, same as your car, grooves running the lenght of the belt rather than the width of the belt) and did not have the beater bar strip...some don't think it makes a difference..I do, mine will pick up more sand and grit.

My two cents.

Best Power Nozzle

I would have to say the Eureka Express with Vibra Groomer III.

I also like the Electrolux PN 5. It will lie flat to the floor for cleaning under low beds and furniture. Later models tip up after getting half way under low clearance objects.

Weell, now that I think about it, I think that the older Kenmore power nozzles were good. The one that was on the 90's white canisters? Those are great, and have a very nice brushroll.

I absolutely love the Eureka Express Power Nozzle with the VibraGroom III(?) too. Its steel better bars really help to vibrate everything out of the carpet. I have the Lindhaus nozzle and the Eureka blows it away, its not even in the same class of cleaning in my opinion. I like the Lux PN on my Epic 6000 with the current style chevron brush roll that has more bristles (an extra turn in it) than the old style. Id love to have a Wessel Werks nozzle for my central vac but with height adjustment like the Miele SEB 236.

i have the green kenmore i like it too! but my rainbow is pretty good, i put a new brush roll on last year and it really grooms well!
