Gene, you're very kind, indeed

This time next week, I'll be in the hospital. All will be fine, I'm sure.Prayer is very powerful. I'm sure some might pray that it doesn't go well. But, that's on them, not me. (nasty comments, innuendos, etc abound, but, that's everyday, it seems.)
But, Gene, you are a very kind man. Your kindness will come back to you, no doubt.

Thanks John!

And yes, it's been quite an ordeal that's lasted over a year at this point. I'm just thankful things didn't turn out worse, as there was a chance I could have lost my foot or leg at the onset. Keeping a positive attitude and knowing that people have kept me in their prayers have really helped a lot throughout the ordeal.
And yes, hopefully when this is behind me I'll be able to do some traveling and attend conventions and mini-meets again!
Jeff

Jeff, that would be great.

I'm preparing the upstairs room for the construction.
I found lots of long bag Hoover Handivac bags. It seems they're hard to find.
I'm rediscovering tons of things: Hoover 'coffee can' toys, books, mugs, tape measures, Frisbees, vacuums, polishers, oh m y.
It will get and look worse before it gets better.I'll finally be able to organize my owner's manuals,, ads, parts lists, even my copies of "The Hoover Newsies". fascinating stuff.
It's a sea of boxes, paper, and bubblewrap.

Joe, thanks for giving us all a update here. Thank God he pulled through the surgery fine. I meant it when I said John would be greatly missed if he passed away. In fact, I will go as far to say that John's presence here has probably been what has kept this website from totally blowing up. Just knowing he is here probably keeps certain undesirable members in check for sure.
