Ways to clean a Dirt Devil Spot Scrubber.

I feel like talking about a Dirt Devil that appears sometimes at Goodwill. No, not those Vintage Royal hand vacs. That's for another thread like this one here-https://www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?38864_11. I'm talking about The Spot scrubber spot cleaner. I tried to get one a couple times I went to Goodwill. But My Dad says I can't have them because whenever I see these at Goodwill, they're dirty. So I would like some ways to clean the Spot scrubber. I'm okay with the standard model, but I hope I can find the Spot Scrubber Power Reach.

I have seen these but don't own one.
It looks like it has a water line, shampoo line and connected to nozzle is exhaust and waste bin. The line from water or shampoo may be clogged or kinked. If so fix accordingly. You have to make sure both lines are good.
The nozzle may have debri built up clogging hose. The water and shampoo probably dispenses here.
Follow the big exhaust hose to waste bin. Your going to find a filters you should clean and build up or clogged hose. You can use another vacuum to clean or blow it out. The waste bin want to check the gasket making sure it doesn't leak.
If you are forgetful take pics write down and label each part.
That should clean it.

How do I unclog the hose that connects to the spray nozzle? Thank you! I'll let you know If I get one with a resetable GFCI plug. I just think the one with a resetable GFCI plug is safer.

My grandparents have one of those. I would just pour diluted bleach into a bowl and suck it through the unit that way. That's what I did when I trash picked a Hoover SteamVac and Bissell LittleGreen.

No bleach. It will eat up and degrade the rubber seals and suction tubes.

I seen one of these inside a Goodwill collection box 3 weeks ago.

The only way to fully clean it is to dismantle it and wash the parts one at a time and reassemble. I have to do that to my Bissell SpotBot, it's a mess.

Most common thing to clog on portable shampooers is the solution spray tube.

Use HEAVILY diluted bleach. IT kills the smelly bacteria without damaging anything.

You can also use

a solution of 50/50 distilled water and white vinegar. I use that in my coffee maker about twice a year to keep the minerals from the water from building up. Afterward, rinse with distilled water by itself through the machine.
