Visit to the Vac Museum

Today I made a visit to the Vac museum in St. James, MO.! What a place! I highly recommend that all vac collectors make a visit if they can. I arrived shortly after it opened at 9 am. Connie, Tom's assistant was there to greet me. I wandered around on my own looking at all the vacs and taking lots of pics (to be uploaded later when I get back home). Both Tom and Connie said I could try the vacs but I just didn't have time. Tom and his husband Donnie arrived about 11 am and then they showed me in detail some of the vacs. Tom certainly knows his vacs and obviously loves his dream job! We went for lunch and then back to the factory to see all the vacs that were not on display as well as a tour of the shop floor where the vacs are made. I had to leave around 2 pm as I had a 4 hour drive to make to Kansas City for the organ convention I am attending Tues., Wed. and Thurs. and then the 2 day drive back home.

Thank you so much for the visit yesterday Gary. We had an AWESOME time visiting with you. You're a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. I know it's a long drive, but one day, you'll have to come to a vacuum cleaner convention. We hold them every year, at the Vacuum Cleaner Museum, the second weekend in June. There's no costs to come, just bring your smiling face. Hope to see you again soon.
