That's the model "0", the 1st. You know the story about ( distant relative), Murray spangled. The besutiful one that graced the modern, " international building" in N Canton was sent to a desler.... to keep it from going to tti. But,it was sold back to them... the very thing the Hoover Company tried to prevent. I saw it, when I was at this. Retired Hoover employees went wild, upon learning this... needless to say... persona non grata now. They realize, now, that they should have sent it to the Historical Center. Although, they have several. As well as one in The Mc Kinley Museum.

Some of mine are going to friends. Some of my things may end up at the Hoover Historical Society. Some people have put " dibs" on things. The rest......
I only have a handful of pretty mundane Hoover products aside from a comparatively rare Electronic 1000. I don't think my Hushtone is collectible but it sure is useful ( and that comes from a canister guy who usually calls uprights "upwrongs" ). Most of what I have there are no historical societies for because my collection is so, um, weird. Kenmore, Panasonic, Eureka, Swedish Electroluxes ( Japanese models that run on US house current ), US Electroluxes but nothing special or unique from Electrolux, Samsung including Samsung made Bissell, Singer and Black & Decker models, some old Compacts and Tristars ( including some from Japan with Japanese labeling which is cool ), Tristar copies like Miracle Mate, Airstorm/Patriot, Ghibli Vortech, Haley's Comet, various Singer canisters and their sort of exotic Quantum upright ( my "choral section") . Also a bunch of power nozzle canister vacuums I bought in Japan from Sanyo, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Hitachi, Toshiba and a new in the box Amway canister vacuum. Yes Amway was selling a canister vacuum in Japan. No idea who made it but a nice piece of equipment. The Japanese stuff is like a parallel universe of vacuums. Tiny but HUGE power. Vorwerk, Sebo and Miele too. Naturally a Kirby. Can't call yourself a serious collector without a Kirby or a Miele. You just can't. Don't like or use either much but there you are. Orphans and oddballs are what I collect.

That's all good. Recently, I was diagnosed with cancer. Some actually insisted I made that up!!! WHY would ANYONE do that? They've actually already asked for things!. I do need to " clean up loose ends" regarding a few cleaners. I have 20+ cleaners from the Hoover " vault", a.k.a. " models and samples ". I'll post pics of them all together, when I can.

Ah, cancer. Most now are treatable especially if diagnosed early, some not so much. Hope yours is the former and you can have a lot more years with us.

I am finishing up a big garage in our back yard where I can properly display my collection, along with some motorcycles and restored vintage Audi. When that is done I can make some beauty photos of the collection for all to enjoy. Might even do an on line museum sort of thing. The project is so far above the original budget you would think it was a major Pentagon weapons program ! Electrical bit me in the backside. Hard ! Over $20 grand just for electrical work including a 400 amp main panel on the house and $7 grand just to run electricity from the main panel on the house out to the garage. And I didn't go with steel conduit and steel junction boxes like I had my house built with. Romex and plastic junction boxes this time. Still have fire sprinklers, insulation, drywall and lighting to go. At least the lighting will be cheap : / Plans for an auto hoist are going to have to wait but a motorcycle hoist and tire changing machine are mandatory !
