I saw that. It looks like it's been painted -- maybe one of those rebuilt sweepers from Re-Nu, Blakeman etc. (I've never seen a Kenmore in that color -- John Lucia??).

And shouldn't it have a bumper?

Yaah....

I think it's been painted. They were usually gray, or maroon, or brown. This was the one I've been looking for a picture of to show to Rick Winkler (Crevice Tool), because I think it was made by Universal. Rick....you there?

I had one just like that and gave it away. It was great cleaner. The color is off, but it could just be the camera. If memory serves me correctly, it did have a bumper, only on the front portion of the machine.

Wish I had not given mine away.

I was thinking about bidding on it, hard to believe that the BOL Kenmore in the early sixties still had a shakeout bag! The wheel you can probably find, but where would you find a bumper guard, and if you did, what would the original have looked like? I'd want it to look as factory original as possible....

The origin bumper...

was black just like the cord, and it has not been repainted...
and the motor is stamped Nov,1963.
