I'm not looking for any more vacuum cleaners. Seriously, I'm not. When I started dealing with all the stuff here after Arlee died I gave away many of them, some of them prized machines that I'd had for many years.
The problem is, they seem to find me.
A few weeks ago, a guy posted a "s#!t-load" of vacuum cleaners for sale. One that caught my eye was a very, very rare Electrolux "Thrift Model" from 1956. It's a real plain-Jane vacuum cleaner created to compete with other economy vacuum cleaners at the time. It was a huge flop. Electrolux ceased production after just a few months.
I could tell from the photos the guy posted that this one was in excellent condition. Problem is, he's located in Maryland and wasn't willing to ship it. So I convinced my sister, also in Maryland, to go get it and ship it to me!
And here it is! ❤
