Dave!

No one else could have said it better. And, there are SO many from which to choose. When lots are lined up together, it's like looking at a box of "James' Salt Water Taffy".... they were /are very popular candies sold on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey. (Just in case you seemed lost on that).
They styles, color combos were endless. (the cleaners, not the candy).

Cheers for the compliment gottahaveahoove.

I must admit it's strange how a vacuum can sum up (for me)so perfectly how a country felt about itself in that era as those 60's Hoovers do. America at the time was unbeaten & full of confidence & thought it could do anything (& probably could!) A look at those Hoovers somehow says that.

You'll have to excuse me I tend to read too much into domestic appliances !

Thanks
Dave

Bernie!

Fab 28!! That is a 'masculine' machine, sinple, understated and ready to perform. Dave! Thanks, we, asa nation appreciate that. It was so true. But!!! Perivale certainly was no slouch, either. Ye made some wonderful stuff that helped drive HOOVER forward. And, that perfect ART DECO specimen of a building. HOOVER was at the top of the mountain. Times, greed, some unions, China.. all happened. Oneday, I'd love to stand in front of that HOOVER facade as I have often in North Canton, Ohio.It was/is 'American Pride" at its best.
Those other cleaners are great, as well. The Dial-A-Matics , (a few flaws) were phenomenol...set the pace for all the new stuff. Yes, the "Concept" seemed to clear up all of the snafus of the DAMs.

YOU ALL HAVE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL COLLECTIONS OF RARE AND VINTAGE UNITS MR FLORIDA IS SITTING ON SOME GEMS OF THE DRYFUSS VARIETY....PRICELESS....YOU COULD NOT FIND NICER VERSIONS IN THE HOOVER VAULT

I absolutely LOVE that Concept One! My mother had the very similar U4203 when I was a kid, finished in a very warm Pale Honey and Rust Brown color scheme. She should never have gotten rid of it! But, life goes.on, and I have since found a lovely Concept One U3315-070 which has proven a wonderful addition to my own collection. Take great care of your Concept One-it is certainly a precious gem in the vacuum cleaner world!

I'd love to visit, really!

And, I'm gonna try to make that a reality. That 150 is amazing!!! I MUST procure one of those. They are fantastic!! I would also like, someday, to get a HOOVER "Senior". One MUST have at least ONE of them. I have a fab "Junior". But, a nice HOOVER from the other side of the 'pond' would surley be a treat. Someday, when opportunity AND funds permit. That's part of the 'fun', isn't it?

Oh you have gotten me started on HOOVERS!!!!!

Boy oh boy do I love Hoovers!

Where do I start??? Some of my all time favorites. Coffee cans are my favorite of all hoovers.

And one of the gleaming 700. Restored with a little patina left for character.

The bag is the old style spreader type. Works great.

The original parts 575.

Pretty banged up but wow does it run quiet and smooth! I keep it because it was my first coffee can, and my first all original hoover.
