Actually I think it is a Remocco (or a variation of same) which is Dutch. And yes, there is a stong resemblence to the Universal model, also sold here as a Pheonix

David - it looks like this beautiful Eureka 265 has newer wheels. I would bet that the original wheels were turquoise to match the rest of the vac. Also - it looks like someone had to change the collar of the bag which attached to the main unit. The collar shown in the last picture is a much newer one used on the 2000 series uprights. The older collar was probably also turquoise, and was probably the screwless removable version which used a latch that you opened to release it for easy bag changing (the instruction manual directed the user to remove the entire bag assembly, put it on a table zipper side up and do the bag change away from the main vac)

Besides these modifications - what a great vintage Eureka!!!!!

Not bad, but it's a plastic Convertible. It also appears that the base paint has sun damage.

There is no sun damage. If you check out the pictures its the same color thru and thru. Same with the hood.
