I was so excited to find this! I never in a million years thought I would find the 1957 model 107 Lewyt with the very FIRST power nozzle. This one has the cord. If they would have stayed with this and not gone to the fancy Electronic deal they would have been in business much longer.
Everything on this old gal works beautifully

Excuse the messy background. I had taken it into my storage room to put it in line for a spa treatment and remembered I hadn't taken pics yet so I did it right there. I will follow up with a pic of all 3 of my Electronics together after spa treatment

I have one of these!

Its much better than the Electronic..I have the store demonstrator..its a power nozzle with a Lucite window in the top with a light in it.

I shure wish...

Hans would post some pics. It would be a shame if people started thinking he doesn't have what he says he does. Of course I don't doubt it, beacuse I know Hans, but many don't.

Phil...

what a great find.Your so lucky to have found that gem.Where did you find it?A sale or estate?I agree.Lewyt was a wonderful vaccum.Sad they are gone.Another American company gone to wayside.

Well Believe it or not someone sent me a link to an ebay store who has all kinds of antique trinket type stuff and lots of art deco stuff and low and behold it was in one of the pics. I totally over looked it at first because it was just a LEwyt big wheel and probably a non complete one that would be priced like $200 or something like that because it's mid century modern bla bla bla, you know how retro stores are but then I thought wait a sec was that???? and I went back and really looked at it and I still didn't believe what I was seeing and couldn't believe it was still there at the great price it was listed for.

Go to my thread titles vintage row of beauty and see every model of lewyt power nozzle. The green one and grey one are the zappers, however mine work fine and have not malfunctioned yet lol

two different zappers

Was there any other difference between the two different models that zapped people, or just the color. Kind of a shame, apparently the zappers were actually really good vacuums, other than this fatal flaw, in this case literally since I think some people were actually killed. I wonder if the vacuum museum has the zapper models, I would think it would be unsafe though.

There is no difference in the 2. As far as shocking it was only mild shocking. No one actually got hurt from what I understand however housewifes were pretty upset about the shocking.

Yes Tom does have one at the Museum, The Grey and final one I believe.
