Very cool hose for Miele canister owners

I would love the Miele S8 to have a much longer cord - that is my main gripe. If Bosch can do it with their inferior plasticy BSG5 series, there is nothing to stop Miele from doing the same - and the Bosch BSGL5 is a pretty light cylinder vacuum with a similar dust bag capacity. I think Bosch have also realised that a lot of German brand buyers are put off by some of their lack of features - earlier this year Bosch have redesigned their tools to accept a lock to hold them on as opposed to friction fit - but I have yet to see the new range, as I had an older BSGL5 a few years ago. If you think Miele tools are bad, the Bosch ones are just naff and cheaper plastic. Much prefer using Miele tools with Bosch vacuums - they are the same sizing.

Bosch also fit a top exhaust on the main body but the way in which it has been designed means you don't get a face full of air each time you change the suction setting.

Cost $$

They sell it with a complete kit, not sure the cost. I know they sell the for less when you purchase a Miele. I will probably bite the bullet eventually and let you know if it works well under load. It would be very nice for high ceilings, ceiling fans and ledges. Miele really should sell an attachment kit worth using, the ones that come with the S8 are an embarrassment for a $900 vacuum.

I wish I would have found these guys prior to purchasing from a local dealer, I would have saved the taxes and they are really friendly on the phone.

Not all of their appliances are good - but some generally are - but then again I speak from ownership experience. Siemens, the home company sell vacuums too but everything with a Siemens badge has a higher price for the equivalent model Bosch also sell.
