They didn't show what it was like to pull the cleaner round by it, or what it's like on fullpower.
Since the Miele vacuum was fastened to a display-what would it be like if the vacuum was on the floor and you pulled the hose to "stretch" it-the machine would follow along as its supposed to.And be careful what you pick up-that long hose may clog.

Not so cool if it can't be compacted up and removed.
They may well know vacuums but when it comes to actual use in a home, I very much doubt it. I speak from experience here.
Miele do make a removable 1.5 metre extension hose that goes onto the end of any existing Miele hose. Its called the SFS10 Extender. I bought one years ago to get more stretch with my Miele vacuums as you know they have a small amount of cord. Its okay for added stretch but it can be too wriggly when it is being used = thus this even a longer hose like the one shown would probably knock the paintwork off my doors and corners - as well as others in a general home, no matter how wide the hallways or rooms are.

1.5 meters is hardly worth the money. You can put your miele on low when dusting, you do not need 80 PSI to remove a dust web from a 10 for ceiling. Lifetime warranty is much better than Miele offers on their accessories. They have been making and selling this hose for 18 years, I doubt If there were a lot of complaints they would still be making it.

Mm like the usual complaint of air being blown in your face when changing the suction setting or the demand for a longer cord on their canisters? MM yes.. whatever. Miele have turned a blind eye to the latter.

Sebo fan, stop your crying. Just because Sebo does so poorly when is comes to filtration is no reason to attack Miele. The S8 is the finest quietest canister on the market. When people have bad allergies, nothing but a Miele will truly filter our the dust. 23 foot cord is plenty long enough, I have never used a nicer machine than a Miele S8. No machine is perfect but the S8 is as close as they come.
The Sebo D4 is a very good machine but the price you pay for the extra 8 fort cord is a larger body and 4 pounds over a Miele S8. If the S8 had a 45 foot cord and was 17 pounds you would be complaining how heavy it is.

Oh here we go again. Any conflicting opinion and you shut it out. Do you actually have ANY experience to share at all? Instead of passing off a post that you are more or less 'SELLING" on the back of that company you've chosen to share a video with, why would you have posted it at all?
If you can't stand the heat - get out of the kitchen.
AND if Miele were so confident about their filtration, why on earth do they keep producing Super Air Clean filters? If a company wanted to promote the benefits of clean air, you'd have thought they would have fitted the Active Air Clean as standard right across the range.
Hotpoint and other European brands are beginning to fit HEPA right across their ranges in their bagged cylinder vacs, I don't see why Miele can't.

No its you Sebo fan that attacks anything not Sebo or Dyson. The facts are not everyone has bad allergies and if you do not suffer from bad allergies you may not want to spend $50 for a Hepa filter. The lesser models with clean air filters are a way to purchase a miele and save a few dollars. If anyone is selling anything it you and the Sebo X4 which is nothing more than a Windsor with a fancy color which is a janitors vacuum. Built for durabilty which is is the best built upright in the world. Some people need more filtration and actually need a vaccum which will deep clean which the x4 does not do well . I only share my experience as to what I feel is a great value or performing product, I have slammed The Miele S7 for its poor durability many times. You ignore the many flaws of your glorified Sebo X4 which has many.

Who are you to tell me? You are sadly mistaken if all I talk about is SEBO. On the basis that I've been here longer than you, I've contributed on many of the other brands I collect, owned and sold off. You're still lost in that last post that we debated on - how sad that you can't really move on from that.
You really are under the assumption that I adore the X4. How sad and IGNORANT of you. Clearly you don't read enough. I actually adore the SEBO Felix as well as a multitude of other brands including Miele vacuums. I've owned Dyson, I wouldn't own it again. That's my PERSONAL OPINION.

My Sebo Felix
This was my Sebo Felix which I sold because in my opinion it does not not deep clean. Built very well and lasted 5 years and was still in great shape. I also thought the filteration was not up to the level of Miele. Now if someone loves the Felix, awesome Great for them it is better than most.

I agree - but then I don't see any of my vacuums as being beautiful other than my classic Hoover collection. I don't go for the beauty, I go for performance, quietness, functionality and well thought out features in my MODERN collections. Of the Felix you've posted, did it have the charcoal filter that became available last year? I noticed a big difference of quality of air on mine when that filter was fitted.
This video is in German. You might find it difficult to understand. However, forward it to 6.49 where the Bosch cylinder is pushed down a staircase. Only the dust falls out of it. The Miele S5 however at 8.24 fairs worse - infact you'll see that it doesn't absorb the fall very well.
I have a Miele S5 - I wouldn't ever subject it to that - but it proves that there isn't a perfect vacuum cleaner - and their bodies in this respect are also not lifetime guaranteed. I doubt the S8 would be able to sustain any better given that it has the same flap at the front for the tools and a similar design.

Thing is, in my home I don't require a deep clean on my carpets as I have medium pile wool loop - I have to be careful. The carpet before that was thick pile wool and the Dyson made a meal of it - eventually threadbare from over use.
My Vax VCU02 (similar to Hoover Signature) is great - very much like Oreck - lacks a hose, dirty fan and does the job intended. The SEBOs and the MIele vacuums all treat the surfaces with softer cleaning - it's just a great pity that with the Miele vacs, there's plenty of plug hopping to do.

I am not a fan of everything Miele. I own a S8, not S5, no matter I have no stairs. I had Mieles top washer and dryer and while they are bull-it proof, I did not like the way they cleaned cloths. Replaced them with Second hand Fisher & Paykel for $400 for the pair and they blow the Miele s away.
I share my experience with the products and my opinion, there is more than one flavor of ice cream for a reason.

I have tried them all and IMO believe Miele makes the best canister (worst tools) and Sebo makes the best upright. I currently have Miele s7 (still thinks it comes up short in quality and design), Miele S8 (Love it accept the cheap tools). The Want to be Sebo by Hoover, a couple Panasonic uprights and a Windsor s12.
I never liked a canister until this week and now all of a sudden they make sense. I do wish these darn tools were better on my S8 but I love the vaccum. I used to love my Sebo Felix, might have just been bored with it after 5 years. I understand why people like Rainbow, excellent tool kit and quality, I just do not like lugging the water (had one years ago). I do believe the G1 Sebo is the best upright made I just wish they would come out with a dual motor version with a little better brushroll maybe metal with three rolls of brushes.
Riccars are really cool looking I just believe that Panasonic high performance vacuums are as good or better and can be bought for half the price. And I also have a Vorwerk 131 that require me to use a 20 pound power converter to use. Vorwerk also makes very nice tool. I used to love Vorwerk, the is why I purchased the Felix, same concept.
Have owned several Kirby's and Love their shampoo setup, it works very well.
