(I can't beleive these are over 20 years old now, my childhood vac this!)

Got a sniff of a little used fully boxed Vax 121 for sale for £40. Is this a fair price for one of these nowadays?

Need to confirm that it is indeed complete, with all paperwork etc, but worth a look? (it's an hour away)

Well yesterday I picked up the same 121, little use with box & instructions, also included turbo brush (powerplus) for £15, quite a bargain but did need a little clean as it had not been used for nearly 20 years.

In my opinion I wouldn't pay that much but then again you are older than me & do work & get paid. So you have a job or whatever.

If it's for use or the fact that it brings back memories to you then buy, I probably would if I was you.

Plus if you did want to sell later on then the ones with boxes do go for a fair bit of cash, as many bought these then replaced them with Dysons.

Any chance you couldn't get a better price?

Lol, just because I;ve got a job doesn't mean I get paid well!!

It was £60, a stab in the dark email got it down to 40. Nice to know they can be had cheaper. I've sent him an email asking for more details, if it has the paperwork etc, will see where that goes, and if any movement can be had.

I havea friend who works nearby, so collection won't be too bad. If the seller says lower than £40 I'll grab it, if not then I'll wait until payday, see what what's like and sink £40 into it. Missus wouldn't let me spend £40 on something she knows I'll use 3 times then put away, not this far away from payday anyway. I made £35 by selling a DC04, but I need petrol, so there will be an argument if I splash it on a VAX!

It's a proper childhoodvac, Mum had one, Granny and Grandad still have theirs,my aunt had one etc. I;ve had a few, but none boxed and in mint condition. Will be used a few times for nostalgia, including shampooing our loungue carpet then boxed back up and put into storage for a while whilst I enjoy owning it!

You could do a swap with the Vax seller, & I sold a DC04 for £35 too! Say to the seller I'll pay whatever at highest then mention what you do with Vacuums & that this particular Vax means a lot to you as it holds lots of memories from when you were younger. It might work. You never know.
