Vacuum of the day.

I'm calling on the Air-Way experts out there.  I've seen this picture hundreds of times but never noticed how light in color the hollow handle is. Looking at it today, I thought "that's a green Goddess!"  The picture is dated 1932, making it the last of the straight suction machines. So the question is, am I right or wrong?
