I have a sharp twin energy upright in the vac shop. It is an older vac. I disassembled it and checked the motor, cleaned the entire uniit out. I put it all back together and tried it out. It seems to be working great, untill I took off the flexible suction end of the hose. It has very weak suction?? Is it supposed to have strong suction? I checked the hose and it is clear and free. It seems to me that the motor shoud be producing a lot more suction than just weak.

The Sharp Twin Energy is a good cleaner. I mean for a early bypass motor vacuum. Thats what we had until the day the Fantom Thunder entered our house. It does have pretty decent suction. Like Morgan said check the seal cause we replaced ours twice. I found if you want hepa filtration or near it you can use Kenmore 5055 bags. THey are the perfect fit and dont emit dust. No alterations are neaded. My mom liked it because you didnt need a screwdriver to replace the belt. One thing I hated was the wand system. Check the bag seal or the seal around the motor that will be your best bet. Hope you get it fixed.

I have a Shape that's probably about 10,12 years old. It has awesome suction, on the floor and with the tools. Ck all of
the seals.

one this about sharp, Did everyone know that they use a buss fuse? For years I never knew that untill I got one in that would not run no matter what I did. I found the fuse and thought "oh it can't be that easy" that did the trick.
