You're welcome once again, Brian—that means a lot coming from the 'Eureka Prince'!

Model 1402

I did want to mention an anomaly regarding the Model 1402. Its hood engineering and styling, E/W logotype decals, and bag cover are hallmarks of the Eureka budget F & Gs of the mid-1970s to early-1980s; yet its computerized ratings decal indicates a 1989 production.

One would take for granted that this was a company rebuild; except for the fact that appliance and home furnishings stores advertisements I located for it were from 1981 to 1990.

So this is yet another example of Eureka's huge variety of options as well the implied use of overstock after main production. I wouldn't think the 1402 would have sold like hotcakes during the '80s, but it likely catered to budget- and no-frills-minded shoppers.

Indeed…I really think the huge array of cleaners created and sold by Eureka Williams was one of the reasons Electrolux of Sweden targeted the company for takeover in 1974. It’s also one of the reasons EW commercials had that faced paced concluding montage with the confident voice-over saying: “Eureka. The very best in vacuum cleaners. And more kinds of vacuum cleaners than anyone else in the world. That’s Eureka.”

Model 267!

I thought this existed but had never found an ad for it until now and it was missing from Hesco's model-type list. It's the chrome-hooded version of the Model 266.

Hi Paul! That table is great! Kudos to you!

Love the colour-coding in the first column…really helps to trigger an image of the vacuum in the reader’s mind!

Models 910 & 960 Differences

As far as I know, the exhaust system and possibly the hose types were the differences between the Model 910 & Model 960.
