Today was the day I devoted to preparing the last bedroom for renovations. But, in order to "get in there", I must relocate TONS of stuff. I have to dismantle 2 4 poster beds, etc,,, move ALL of the Hoovers out of one room, and switch out everything. That meant, Emptying out 2 rooms of all things Hoover. I found things LONG forgotten about. I could almost rent out space to store/display them. Floorwasher, (both yellow and blue). J C Penney vacs, Bicentennial vacs, denim vacs, Pixies, Constellations, Flairs, Convertibles, both plastic and metal, Larks, Stick vacs, plus BOXES upon BOXES of attachments, polishers, etc. I almost died when I realized everything that was staring at me. There are a few things I should thin out. There are multiples ( duplicates, triplicates, etc. For example: I counted 5 model 69s, 6 model 70s Windtunnels, Oh my !! Some I will give to people. Some, I'll sell. You'd have to be an idiot to just discard them. Soon, there will be some put up for sale.
When I can post pics, I will.
I just thought I'd share how I spent "Good Friday".

You are preaching to the choir

I mean, it's one thing to have a collection, but do I really need 4 and 5 of the same exact model? That's not even counting the parts doners. No point in my griping about having no space for any more vacs. The answer to all this was staring at me in the mirror while shaving this morning!

Mark, funny you should mention that.

I DID find some Penncrest polishers and Hoover Pixie lookalikes... in their boxes. There is also a JCPenney Dial-A-Matic powerdrive. I also unearthed a Hoover Heavy Duty upright from the Vault (compliments of Dick Pike).
I'm tickled to see these things again. I can't wait to be able to post pics again. (IF you'd all like to see them).

Finally returned to my own room last night.

It's unbelievable to realize that THAT many vacuums and other Hoover appliance can fit into one room.
Now that my momentum is going....I can't/shouldn't stop. After the drywall is up, and the parquet floors are installed in the "Victorian" bedroom, I can rearrange other things, too.
