TURBOPOWER

What would you be prepared to pay for a Turbopower 3 Autosense with permabag TOL model new in box if the seller uncovered one in the back of the warehouse Alex?

My money's on the SEBO C3.1 at the moment, and I doubt I'll win it, but I can only try.

So its you that's bid the £250 on it then? I thought it might have been Roger, or Narayan.

Its gonna go far higher than £250 - its a  rare and hard to find SEBO - how often do you see these brand new any more?

Hey Alex, I've nearly caught up with your post count - you don't seem to be nattering as much on VL these days - I suppose you are too busy polishing your Turbopowers!

Sebo C3

No Steve,
I'm not bidding on the C3 because I have the C3 Power Plus which is almost identical apart from the colour and additional power head. I also have a mint in the box Sebo C1 which was Sebo's first cylinder cleaner, so I'm not interested in the one on offer, especially at that price.

I doubt I will place a bid on any of the current cleaners for several reasons:

1. I have several of them in brand new condition including a boxed and barely used Turbopower 1.
2. I used to own a few of the models and sold them so I won't be buying them again.
3. If I didn't want them when they were easily available, I don't want them now.
4. I won't pay over the odds for a vacuum cleaner as I like to find bargains. For example, I have just ordered a brand new Ensign stealth (based on the Sebo X1 for £60.
5. I am waiting for the Panasonic Icon that I purchased from this seller but unfortunately it has
been stuck in Milton Keynes for over a week and I am starting to loose my patience. Hopefully
I will be getting it tomorrow if the seller has sent another one out, but I'm not holding my breath.
6. If I have spent many times more than the cleaner cost originally I would be afraid to use it, so what would be the point of having one?

Whoever gets the Turbopower 2 I suggest you get a spare belt for it as the original belt will have probably stretched. I had to get a new belt for the Maytag upright I purchased from discontinuedbutdiscounted and the solution tube for the Vax 2100 needs replacing as it has gone brown with age.

Good luck to everyone who is bidding and I hope you will share your pictures and possibly videos of your new vintage cleaners.

Roger

That's not good Roger - what do you mean the Panasonic Icon is stuck in Milton Keynes? I hope they don't mess us about with delivery on these items.

That Ensign Stealth I saw last night - I thought £60 was a mistake, it was Vaclensa selling it if I remember rightly. I was gonna buy it, but left it as it seemed too good to be true for £60 and free postage.

Panasonic Icon

Yes, if it ever turns up, I will be uploading an unboxing and full review.

I have just got fibre broadband, so I am able to upload HD videos now without having to wait all
day, so you will see the Panasonic and all future videos in glorious high definition. I will have to
get botox soon or stop appearing in front of the camera.

Don't worry Roger, just feature more of Daisy - she's very photogenic. Always cute to see her!

Is it the courier that's holding up the delivery of the Panasonic Icon, or are CeeJay messing you about?

Steve,

The Ensign Stealth was described as new other, so I am expecting a brand new unused cleaner that may not be in the original box. It does seem too good to be true, but if it's not as described I will be opening a claim with Paypal.

To be fair this is the first time I have had a problem with an order from discontinuedbutdiscounted. It was collected by Parcelforce but the tracking shows it is still in their Milton Keynes depot. I am disappointed by the slow action of the seller to resolve my non delivery, but I suppose they are more concerned with listing all these vintage vacs.

I have asked the seller of the Ensign to deliver a week on Thursday and I will be uploading a video of it when it arrives. Fingers crossed it is as described.

It could be that the package has come apart maybe, so they cant deliver it? So its Parcel Force that's to blame then, and they are usually not too bad.

I'd be interested to see this Ensign Stealth - I bet its a refurb model for £60. Gotta be a listing error, if not, then its a real bargain.

If it's a listing error then I expect the seller to contact me and offer a refund before it's dispatched.

I think that possibly the address label has fallen off the Icon. I've had parcels delivered by other couriers that have been resealed by them when the box came apart. I hope that CeeJay makes sure that these vintage cleaners are well protected as the boxes on most of them are pretty worn and may not hold together with the rough treatment they will get in transit.

Yes, that concerns me as well - that's why we pay with Paypal, as if the item arrives damaged, we can open a claim. It is in Cee-Jay's interest to package these items properly, especially seeing as some of them are raising a lot of money.

I'm sure it will work out OK, and they will be fine when they are delivered.
