My learning curve grows steeper!

Hi Simon.

Thanks for posting the C1314 piccy. Have never seen this variant of Turbomaster before, although I knew it existed.

Have amended the spreadsheet to re-include the C1314 and am after a bit of info off you, if you have it.

Is the brochure you have able to answer the following three queries:

What was the actual name of the C1314, that appeared on the machine, and in what case were the words written (upper / lower / italics - yes the spreadsheet tries to detail this too)?

Did the C1314 possess Autoflex or was it manual hook-wind?

and finally

Was it a dual speed or single speed machine?

I wont dare answer your question about the Miele. I will tread safely and say that, if a Sensotronic were to surface and fall into our hands, I am sure it would happily live alongside the Miele. There - thats a safe answer.

Once again - cheers for the C1314 info - spreadsheet updated a touch.

Much obliged
Paul

Hah, and to think one guy I was talking to ages ago about these things laughed when I thought the Turbomaster would have made a good commercial vac. :P

The domestic version was enough of a beast.

Hi Tommy.

Bloomin heck, I wish me and Rob had a room like that. Plenty of room for storage.

A great collection of machines!

Some of your turbopowers look familiar as, in the UK, your...

red machine was model U2336
and the
beige machine with dark brown softbags were U1102 and sold through our state owned Electricity Board Shops.

Are these the same model numbers as your machines?
Am inteested to learn whether Hoover used the same model numbers across Europe or whether they changed them depending on the country. Am intrigued.

Any chance of knowing what the model numbers are of your Turbopowers?

Love the Rangers on the right and the shelves on the back wall full of Constellations.

Great stuff.
Paul

Thank you very much for the compliments, I wish I had more time to diplay my collection in a better way and this is in my "things-to-do-list".
Well well well model numbers: the Beige/brown softbag Turbos are Mod U 1102 and the red one is Mod U 2336,I have to check for the others 'cause I really can't remember, oh, yes, the grey soft bag is Mod U 1294. I think I have all the Italian hoover brochures so we cancheck similaities and differences between Uk and Italian models!I'll post some more pictures of the collection, please forgive the mess.
