TUEC Stationary Cleaner for sale

This machine was installed in the basement of my 1911 house sometime in the early 1920's, where it has sat ever since. Looks to be in very good condition, though I haven't tested the motor yet. Exterior is dirty, you'll see in the pictures that just wiping with a damp cloth made a big difference. I have no idea what it's worth and/or if anyone is interested in buying it, but this seems like the right place to find out. Feel free to ask for any further info/pics/etc.

There's a very VERY niche market for these. I suspect it's not worth a whole lot, as there are many out there. Give it a few days and see if anyone here bites. Otherwise, leave it where it lies, it's kinda part of your house, is it not?

These are very rare and there is not a lot out there. Most of the ones that show up are all in gray, and not brass. You must live in a historical house so I would say get it restored and hooked back up to the house, its part of the history.

I found an advertisement from The Brooklyn Daily Eagle, Brooklyn, New York, Mar 31 1914.

It cost $160.00 in 1914 which equals to $4,194.97 in 2020 in 2020 dollars. Which is about equal to what a central vacuum costs today actually. It was something only someone well-to-do would have installed in their home back then.

Hi Les:

Caligula, who is shown here, was a pet cat. He was the only mascot the V.C.C.C. ever had. As to a Tuec, I never had one, in fact I never had a central-Vac till 1994, and it was an Electrolux. All my non-electrics are canisters, or upright pumpers, and I have one that is hand cranked. I hope that clears up the misconception.
