I'm in the market for a new canister and have decided a Tristar or a Miracle Mate is the way to go. My 3ed brand was a Rainbow but my mom thinks water vac would be disgusting. If I got a Tristar it would be a CXL
Anyway both the Tristar and the Miracle Mate are under $300 and I'm having trouble deciding. So far I know both of them are related but the Miracle Mate has two stage motor and a larger self-sealing bag that appeals to me. So I have a few questions:

Which one has better filtration and suction? Which one would last longer? The Miracle Mate I would get come from a vacuum dealership and has a 5 year motor warranty. What is your opinion on the lindhuas power nozzle? I plan to use the vacuum as my daily machine, so it would be on about an hour a day.

Although this is not too important, can ether of these vacuum use other power-nozzels such a Hoover, Eureka, Electrolux ect?

Thanks

Miele

I'd go for a Miele as it has good suction and good fitration and is very powerful some mdoels up to 1200 watts in power.

They both would be very good choices. The Tristar is a little easier to work on because its a simpler design (with no cord winder). Plus, the Tristar has the advantage of a longer cord. They both filter very well, but Tristar has the added advantage of the Filter Fresh as an option. However, it will cut down on airflow. Both have very good power nozzles too. The Miracle Mate uses a Lindhaus nozzle. The Tristar CXL uses a nozzle that's similar in design to older Eureka nozzles, but with some improvements. It's clunkier but when used with a Eureka VGI or VGII brush roll, it provides superior performance. The Miracle Mate also uses a closed bag design that's supposed to help contain dust; however, it is small and clogs quickly. You can use a Tristar bag in a Miracle Mate but you'll need to sit the top of a Miracle Mate bag on top. The Miracle Mate has a slightly stronger motor but I think it is negligible. All in all, I guess I prefer the Tristar a little more! LOL!

"What is your opinion on the lindhuas power nozzle?"

I've got the 12 inch wide version adapted to fit my lux machines, the Lindhaus is probably one of the better built and better cleaning nozzles on the market.

I love the CXL. I have found it to be the best and one of the easiest canisters i have owned.

Check out this unbeatable, unstoppable combo!

Run em at the same time and I think you might create a black hole.

I have both

I like both these machines the attachments are interchangeable, and you can also run the same bags. You should get both machines,I have found several Tristar's this year and I am selling a gold CXL on ebay.
