Tristar iec

I just acquired a Tristar iec. Model number 2-1000 Serial number 1667100 I was trying to find out the year this one was made. Any info would be great.

I don't know what year that was made specifically, but it would be from the early 1980s. Prior to that, it would have been "Compact" vice "TriStar", and after (IIRC) 1985 it would have been "TriStar CXL". This one, provided my memory serves, is from the relatively short period where Compact and TriStar overlapped, which would have been 1979-1985, I think. I very well might be wrong about that, as I'm not a TriStar history expert, but that's the best of my recollection.

I have one just like yours. I bought mine new in box from TriStar dealer in 1992.
