I went to an estate sale today and found this hiding in a corner behind a $25 price tag. It's in beautiful condition and only needed a quick cleaning. I've wanted one of these Compact/Tri-Star machines for sometime, glad I held out for a long time so it was fun to find one in such nice shape. From what I could tell of the attachments, this cleaner wasn't used much at all.

Oh Greg!

It's nicer than you described. I'm expecting your good luck to rub off on me when I'm there.

And, I love the wood floors. Fabulous!

Wonderful find Greg!!! That Tri-Star is a real beauty!! The Compact-Tri Star floor tool is my all time favorite.

Great Find!!

It's amazing that you found that late of a model in that great condition at that low of a price!!! Congratulations, Gregg on your new acquisition!!

Oops! I thought it was older than 1990's - I was thinking that it might be early 80's. Feel free to move this thread over to the "new" forum.

Terry, I do like this floor tool as well - the short, tight bristles seem to really do a good job on most hard floors. The rug attachment for the floor tool however...

Oh I do agree with you Greg, that rug attachment that you snap onto the floor took is terrible imho. I guess they must have thought that most people wouldn't use the genuine seperate rug tool attachment since they had the power nozzle and they were probably right.
