Today,Indiana had many Tornado's.One being in Lebanon,Indiana where my mom lives.Yes,I was there when all hell broke loose. We saw that the clouds had gotten very black and had came very close to the ground with the winds picking up very fast. With that thought we saw what was happening wind, dirt debris was moving.Mom and I went to the bathroom in the center of the house and got into the bath tub and held on to get other and it hit.It was gone in about seconds.Lucky,we are fine and ok.The house has no electric and has lost singles, but the debris is everywhere. You can see trash, metal and god knows what else is about in the trees and shrubs.Mom's house faired better that her neighbors as her home is a heavy stone structure. We are at my home in Indy where we have had heavy storms too, water, tree's down and large limb's.Glad it is all over. But,what a mess for the state. Everything is Ok here (southern Michigan), but it is really blowing. Our weather forecast shows winds of up to 47 mph for the rest of the night. Yikes! Had a bit of thunder and pouring rain earlier, but no damage.

I'm glad to hear that you and your Mom made it through OK. I guess there has been wide-spread damage, according to news reports.

Alex...any word on your Mom? Did she come through OK?

Michael,

Thank God you are OK. What a terrifying experience!

We have been watching the news here, the devastation is awful.

If you need anything call.

Morgan

I have also spoke with Mike Rogers and he is OK as well.

They were in the path of the storms, but no damage to his home or shop.

Tried calling Michael Turner today, no answer. I am assuming cell phone towers and phone lines may be down.

Hi John, thanks for asking.

My mom is now living in a little retirement community about twenty miles from the house that was our original club headquarters. When I spoke with her last night, everything was fine. As for me, there was little effect other than a heavy rain about three this morning. Today it's in the mid 50's, so I can start to haul out the Christmas boxes from the holding room.

Hi Everyone...

Morgan,Alex,John,Fred,Dustin,Bill,
Spent the day at mom's today, she did lose power and a large section of the roof shingles. It could have been much worse. The tornado was a EF2 with winds at 120 miles an hour. The is so much dirt, debris, and stuff about the place it will take awhile for things to carted away. There is piles of stuff everywhere.
Where I live there are tree's twisted or split and down.A post office close to me was blown down.It was under a rehab construction. It closed our Washington Street,as it is a main street. The weather people just said,We had 64 know touch downs and a total of 80 with Illinois. One town down in southwestern Indiana, does not exist anymore, just total devastation. The news just keeps showing more pictures and film.
Tomarrow, friends and family are coming to mom's and we will reroof the part that was taken off.Thank god my dad,god rest his soul bought several bundles of shingles. It will only get better guys. Thanks for checking everyone.
Michael

Tornados

Scare hell out of me, we have an occasional small one in NC, I will take the hot weather here anytime over those things! Glad everyone is ok.

Thank goodness everybody here is OK. I really must not moan about the weather we have here in the UK because no matter how bad it gets, it is never as bad as it can be in parts of America.
