VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

A few others that I'd say I'd most like to get ahold of would be a dyson dc01 and a good condition for dc07 that isn't crazy priced for it's condition (my parents had a dc07 for years so it's a little special to me). I think the hoovee decade 80 has quickly been climbing my list towards the top. Honorable mentions go to the dirt devil cruiser. I just like how it looks lol.

Vintage Panasonic Jet Flo canister. Similar design but with headlight of the one n this Youtube video below.

Also a blue or red colored Eureka canned ham with this extreme center mounted headlight. The one in this advertisement is gorgeous!!

Also it's a want and extreme rush. But am seeking a navy blue colored or dark green color based Hoover Convertible upright with round metal handle and traditional vintage style flick switch. A rubber mounted hand grip will be considered but first choice is the plain round metal handle. My Hoover knowledge isn't there to think of a model right off the bat!! Motor preference is to a 4.3 Amp or 420 Watt. I don't know my Hoover models that well. Preferable to a 1070 styled headlight hood, Convertible 700 styled hood or possibly Ranger.

Vintage Canisters

Lately, I've been into vintage canisters. High end stuff as well. Some uprights interest me but canisters are overall more appealing to me. I'd love an Atlas or Universal Jet to contrast with my Compacts!

Vacerator

I've seen first hand sharks seem to work excellent, my parents just got a brand new one and their carpets look great. But, really their looks just don't stand out to me. Plus normally (there is some exception) I prefer a more beefy or larger looking sweeper, and most sharks are more compact.

Fantom, Sharks

Yes icee, I agree. FantomFan, well we just seem to be everywhere, us vacuum enthusiasts. Are we mutants?
An Atlas, or Cadillac by Landers, Frary, and Clark? I've never seen on other than in photos. How about the Haleys Comet?

kenkart,

I meant the Atlas Cadillac canister in candy apple red, not the much older upright Cadillac.
That's not the same Panasonic. Model 240 instead.

VacOMatic

Thank you for the post! I've tossed the idea around. Haven't settled yet. It a good price with shipping too. Just wasn't sure if I should make the push and get it! Or save the money. LOL Decisions, Decisions.

wish lists,

Nothing at the resale store last week but a Sanitaire blue upright for $5. Scratched up hood and probably needed a fan at least, if not a motor. The last ones were cheaply made. It already said by Electrojunx on it.
Today, only a lousy Dirt Devil zoom broom.

My dream machine (originally my parents vacuum which I still have it to this day) is a Electrolux 1205 with PN1 thanks to its turquoise with chrome accent

turquoise Lux,

My aunt had a new one back in 1964. I discovered it behind her sofa one day when I was four. I said AAwwwhh! where is the hose at? She said, that's a secret. I didn't even know what a power nozzle was then. My mom had a Eureka vibra beat.

Re Atlas....

I never heard of a Atlas that was called a Cadillac, I have a red one but the motor is shot, hopefully one day I will find one that runs good, I think it was called the Eldorado.

When I looked up Cadillac vacuums today-they make plastic heat seam welders and their "Quick-Vac"is a small ext filter wet-dry vacuum.I have an older Quick vac that has a sling, short hose, hand tools and a bag that goes onto a 10A motor unit.Direct air "hip" "canister" machine. That same motor is used on the present Quick vac.

My top wish list still to be found is the ABC Always Beauty Clean power nozzle for the Compact C4 C5 and C6. I have all three vacs, I just need one power nozzle for them to share.

1962 GE C-100 swivel top with power nozzle

Original grey Electrolux PN-1 power nozzle for my AF

A late 50s grey Kenmore Vanguard canister with the outlet port for its optional power nozzle. I already have the matching power nozzle.

And last but not least on the holy grail side of things, I want the very first Filter Queen power team from the 60s with its first whirlpool type power nozzle that was featured for Filter Queen before GE started making all the ones we all know from the 70s through the 90s.

Not sure....

I want any more vacs until everything here is restored. Tired of giving up $$$ on eBay. My idea of 'treasure' would be to find some vintage Lux canister still in the original box, extremely well cared for or never used. I know, like being hit by a meteor.....but I've seen pics of such finds!

Hope is a hard thing to let go of.....but then there's reality.
