We're all here, when you need us Hopester!!! I know you're in rough times, as many are and I do hope that Good Luck finds you very very soon!! Hopefully you've been able to sell more machines and get some money.
Have you thought about waitressing? They make great tips. Just need a clean pair of black pants, black belt, black socks and slip resistant black shoes. The shoes can be gotten at Wal-Mart, or some companies offer discount coupons to order online for the shoes. Everything else hopefully you either have or good grab cheaply from a Thrift shop. The great thing about a serving position is you take home cash that day. Depending on the restaurant some shifts might be 3 hours and you take home $30, other shifts might be 6 hrs. and you take home $150. All depends on business, menu item pricing, serving alcohol, and of course your caring smiling face to ensure excellent, friendly service!!
Just a thought. Its one of those positions to help bounce you back semi-quickly and there's restaurants everywhere. Also working in a restaurant, you get discounts on meals.

I have an update about Hope, she is doing ok but very stressed out with dealing with all of this. She is going through her list of emails and responding ( and there were many ) but it's taking a toll so be patient and she'll get to you.

I am not looking to start any feuds or anything but my suggestion for a server would be a position that is fairly easy to achieve as restaurants are always hiring. Occasionally you'll find a strict company seeking experience, but most are very willing to train the smiling face, courteous, clean cut candidate.
I never said it was the easiest thing out there. There are some customers that can be a big P.I.T.A, they may not tip and everytime you go to the table they have another request.
On the other hand, the majority of the customers you will find to be "normal" people, try your hardest and appear that you're working hard and that is all anyone will ask. Servers in most states earn $2.83 an hour plus customers should be tipping 18-25% by todays standards. I've seen tippers that have left $60 tips before on $30 tabs. Quite rare, but every table brings a different opportunity. Especially invite your friends and family in to see you while working, usually you can get them a discount!
In the end you will work hard but as I stated its a position that pays money right away. Train at minimum wage for about a week and the following week, you have tables and you're bringing home cash that shift!!! You may bring home $65 in a 3.5 hr. shift!
Restaurants are also a great way to meet people. At the end of the shift, you sit down and chat with other staff members and perhaps go out with them to a bar, or another restaurant. Nice self-esteem booster after good and bad shifts.
Other jobs like administrative assistanting will start off at around $9, the interview will be much more formal, they'll test your typing skills, test your phone etiquette, and some you'll have to show experience. A host position at a restaurant will pay about $7-9. You'll be standing in one position for a while, with people giving you dumb looks on why their table isn't ready, and in many restaurants part of the hostess job is constantly checking restrooms during the shift and possibly cleaning them at the end of the shift.

the Kirby store by my house just got sold so there is a new owner. I'm almost Shute that she is the only one working there and she might need some help. next time I go in I could ask if she needs anyhelp. but even if you could get a job up here, how would you get here?
