1999 DC05 MH + 2009 DC23 MH

The original Dyson Motorhead...and the current one. What a difference 10 years makes!

Many thanks to Rob (rob_89) for the new DC05MH handle/filter cover. I cleverly managed to kick a chunk out of the handle of the original one!!

Thanks Jack...

For the info and sise comparisons. I think yours is the only DC05MH I have seen. Dyson didn't even have a canister in the US untill 04-05? I think. Your Dyson canisters are so colorful side by each =) I bet he would have sold alot more canisters in the US if he sent them here sooner, especaly in all those colors.
Its amazinf how much they test them over and over.Like Kirby and Miele do. Id like to get a Dyson or 2 just to have but I dont have the correct change yet. Someday I hope to have a Slim(DC24?) a 23MH,and hand (31?)MH. ;)

realy Jack, Is it the season? Or have you just bought a new dyson lol

Its realy time I got some new vacuums, Im begining to get bored with the ones I have. I am starting to think to myself that my vacuuming has become much less creative as oposed to what it used to be. lol

Hi Kenny,

I love the DC05 Motorhead - lightweight, compact, quiet, and very powerful! The Motorhead does a great job on carpets, too, although not quite as good as the current Motorhead design!

The DC05 was such a leap forward from the original Dyson canister, the DC02.

Hi Richard -

I've done individual pick-up demos of a number of Dysons, and of the Sanitaire, so you could compare those? I've never done 'vs.' videos for any brand(s) of cleaner, because although they might show which machine picks up faster, they don't really show which has the most consistent pick-up, so I don't feel the info is particularly helpful to people!
