Nope...that particular combination tool with the double wand channels always came with synthetic black bristles on this side of the pond.

The classic, traditional Electrolux combo tool with adjustable wings was often offered with very soft horsehair bristles - usually with the North American Eluxes of 1968-2008.

I was really trying to say that it is better compared to other types of combination tools. But I do think it is odd that the UK version has horse hair bristles while the US version has synthetic bristles.

Here is that older combination tool on the Electrolux 610 fr

it might be a bit hard to tell but as you can see that dusting brush is horse - hair bristle.

You are absolutely right, Myles. There are many other combination tools that I agree are much worse. Bosch has a 3-in-1 tool that I don't think will do a very good job on anything when compared with three separate attachments. I tried out the combination tool provided on some of those new LG Kompressor vacs, and for the life of me can't understand how it is supposed to do a good job on anything.

I also dislike those crevice tools with the flip-up tiny toothbrush!!! :-)
