I've watched a number of videos from a person from the UK who must be the best ambassador for vacuum cleaner collecting since Stan Kann.  His YouTube name is ibaisaic, a mnenomic for the extinct Hoover slogan "It beats as it sweeps as it cleans."  He takes the time to do detailed, 40-50-minute-long complete and detailed reviews of some very good vacuums, including Miele and Sebo.  Does anyone know this gentleman personally, or does he participate in any of the collectors' sites or fora?  I don't have the impression (and this is purely bias) that he would have any patience for some of the childishness that takes place online from time to time, but he's obviously very generous with his time and energy, which his video reviews demonstrate very clearly.  Anyway, I just wonder if he has any presence on the collectors' sites.  Check out his videos if you haven't heard of him; not only will you see expert vacuum reviews and demonstrations, but you'll also treat yourself to an hour of video in English with absolutely zero bad grammar (rare to nonexistent in the US)! :)

Roger is a great guy....he really gives of his time to create very informative (and sometimes quite humourous) video clips demonstrating European vacs. For North Americans, these are must see videos to learn about the cleaners on the "other side of the pond." He also has the sweetest little doggies!

He deserves kudos from all of us here at Vacuumland!!!! :-) *applause* &#92o/!

Ooooh I'm blushing. Thank you Patrick and Brian for your kind words, it's nice to know that my efforts are appreciated, but I wouldn't make the videos if I didn't enjoy it.

You are completely correct in your assumption Patrick that I have no patience for some of the discussions that escalate in name calling and bitching about why this vacuum is better than that vacuum. For me, life is far to short to argue over a vacuum cleaner and it matters not one jot to me what fellow collectors choose to spend their money on. We are all here because we have an interest or passion for the humble vacuum cleaner and we should be happy that we live in a world that offers hundreds of different machines for us to admire and hopefully own. I don't make my videos in order to persuade people to buy a certain model, but of course I do get comments from folk who have thanked me for helping them make their choice. I don't work for a vacuum cleaner manufacturer or retailer, so if I give a model my thumbs up, it's based on my personal experience of using a particular cleaner in my home and not because I have anything to gain from it.

Anyway, I plan to keep my channel ibaisaic going from strength to strength, despite a brief period when I took all the videos down due to a nasty comment from one viewer. Now on the rare occasions I get a negative comment, I focus on all the people who enjoy my videos and who look forward to seeing anything new that I upload.

I realise that my hard core fans will watch the whole video, but I know that many casual viewers who are just looking for a new vacuum cleaner probably give up after a couple of minutes. I will still do the 40 plus minute videos because it normally takes me that length of time to go into the detail that some people want, but I will be adding many shorter videos with just main points and a quick demo.
The quickies won't feature the sweet little doggies, doubl enterndres or me going off on a tangent and talking about how it was in my day, they will just get to the point. This way I hope to keep the fans happy and satisfy the people who just need a brief review.

As for my grammar, I was brought up to speak proper, so I'm glad that comes accross in the videos😄

Thanks for saying hello

Roger, you've earned every word of my positive feedback and more. I'm glad you're here. I know it must take hours of work, not to mention a lot of money in purchases, to make a quality-dense, high-yield 50-minute video. Having understood that, I hope you'll make more and more. They're incomparable and invaluable, to be succinct.

I like Rogers videos and I appreciate them but I feel the attention he is given from them has made him somewhat vain which was not apparent in his earlier videos, not saying that he is like that in real life but that is what I see portrayed from his more recent videos.

Sorry but that is just my opinion.

Sorry folks but that's a bit too far and too catty.

You both know what a ball ache it is to make videos and load them up and what Roger does is pure genius.

Roger is a very kind hearted nice person from where I'm stood and he certainly doesn't come across as 'vain'.

Roger I hope that the two comments made here don't upset you and prevent you from doing what you do so well.
